Can you survive a horror film? This murderous horror movie fan wants to watch you try. Each player will take a quiz before the game to determine which character they are: The Nerd, Virgin, Jock, Rebel, Prom Queen, or Detective. Your team will be divided into separate rooms where you must work individually and as a team. Not only do you need to escape, but you must also survive! Who will live? Who will die?β

Such an awesome concept to split the group up (based on personality) and have them start in different rooms! Iβve never done anything like it before. My family and I had the most hilarious time, even though the experience is like a real-life horror movie and quite creepy/immersive. Would highly recommend!

Amazing room! Came here based on a recommendation and it really lived up to the hype. My group escaped right at the last minute. I do like the replayability aspect of the room, and it's definitely a room to be replayed! Overall, it was a great homage to the horror movies I enjoy and played up those tropes perfectly down to the decor; there were really fun references to spot! I will say, while it isn't scary, the room will freak out people who get spooked easily. One of my group members asked to leave due to that, but the place- particularly GM Niko helped out.
The rooms being separate was very interesting; but don't let that fool you! You really need to collaborate and communicate pretty well to get out
Just perfect, made me feel like I was in a horror movie. Such fun spooky props and little hidden surprises that made the room unique.
Staff were excellent. As mentioned earlier, one of our members had to leave due to being scared and the staff +our GM Niko really helped her out. GM Niko provided great clues and really made the atmosphere feel much more real. Very funny, too!
Yes
Different in that everyone went into separate rooms and had to work together from each room to get out.
As a horror movie fan, this was perfect. The plot was "generic"/tropey in the best way.
Medium
The puzzles themselves made sense and could be pieced together but we needed a lot of nudging!
Mechanical
Pretty mechanical, nothing much beyond standard locks
6
6 people for 6 rooms is ideal!
Spooky
Not scary for me, but fellow team members were spooked out. If you're a scaredy cat this room definitely builds up on that emotion!
16
16 Not only for the puzzle difficulty and leaps in logic, but also the fear factor.

There is a need to crawl in one room, but otherwise it's fine
Very accessible! The GM asks for any disabilities prior to entry to account for them (e.x. accomodating color blindness) The rooms are quite spacious and accessible minus one of them.

This room is incredible! It takes an exact number of players because everyone is blindfolded and led into separate rooms at the beginning... and you have to work together to get out. Each player has their own "role" and their own challenges. And each player has their own box to solve. If everyone solves their boxes, AND the group gets out in time... then you survive! But only a small percentage of groups actually survive completely. We went in with 5 players, which is the minimum you'd want. I think they can put more than one player in each room, but if you're with an experienced group, you don't need more than 1. It was my friend's first game ever, and she did great! The rest of the family supported her through it... we're very experienced.

If you're all experienced players, then 6 is perfect. If you have less experienced players, then you can double-up in the rooms. No less than 5.
Scary
I'm torn between spooky and scary on this one. If you're into scary movies, then you might not find it to be all that bad. I was pretty unnerved, but I'm a weakling when it comes to scary things!

This game can be a lot for younger players. My 12 year old was pretty freaked out, though my 15 year old was really into it. We'd like to go back and play again another time. The re-playability is really cool! If you're a different "role" then you can play again and have lots to do!

An escape room with a fun twist. I enjoyed getting into the roles. I donβt feel like the puzzles were particularly hard/none of them stood out but the environment was very cool. Having the right team balance is super important in this room. Think carefully about who you bring

We LOVED this room and did it twice (about 16 months in between). The first time we escaped but didnβt βsurviveβ so we wanted to try it again. We switched roles and it was still really challenging. We also didnβt remember most of the actual puzzles and between that, changing rooms (and not helping one another), and bringing two different people with us, the whole thing was a blast the second time. Great story, amazing set design. Be aware one of the rooms has gore so luckily we made sure our guest who is sensitive wasnβt in that room. Great game masters both times. Love Cross Roads!

Hex is a great room if you like solving stuff on your own but still under pressure! I have been both detective and rebel and all the puzzles for the room are creative and well thought out. The nice thing is this room you can do it multiple times since thereβs many roles you can do! Definitely one to recommend!
Gameplay in both Hex and Weeping Witch are thought out!
Very immersive!
Staff and GM are very high energy! Very welcoming!

I really enjoyed the Hex room. It is best with no more. Than six people imo. The production value is good and the storyline is fun.

I think this room would be difficult for a variety of disabilities. There are a lot of small spaces and some require crawling. Iβm not sure how/if they make accommodations

Our GM Kaylie was fantastic, she built up the atmosphere so well and was so kind and pleasant and made our experience fantastic. It was fun and spooky but not too bad.
Difficult but love impossible
So fun, it was definitely scary but not terrifying. We had a 14yo who found it really fun.
Hard
Medium to hard. You have to work together but its doable
βIf you haven't played Hex yet, what are you doing?β
βTo offer such a wide variety of puzzles, Cross Roads outdid their market peers.β
βThis is unlike any other room Iβve played. It is a must play if you happen to be in the Los Angeles..β

βThe Hex Room was one of the coolest things Iβve ever seen.β
