Super fun game with fun (and not frustrating) puzzles. Unfortunately this room maxes at 15 people and there were only 3 in our group. It was one time when I wished there were other people with us. This experience is too big to complete with just 3 people so they modified the game for us but still made it flow really well and adapted to us when we finished the modified area too early and so they opened up one of the other areas for us and the actors stayed in character. It was really impressive and fun. The setting is amazing and the puzzles were fun but not frustrating. I thought the live actor involvement would be weird but it was completely the opposite… it was fantastic! The actors really added to the experience in a way I could have never expected.
Fluid and plenty for everyone to do.
You’re in a castle. Nuff said.
The folks that run the game and the actors were the best out of any escape game I’ve ever visited. They really love what they do and make the experience great for the players.

6-12 would have been ideal but this company puts you in with strangers so even if your party is small, if other people book too there’s plenty to do. And if you have less they’ll modify the game for you.

This is the type of game where you play with strangers. If you're lucky they're kind and good-natured and the game is fun. I recognize that is not always the case, so you run a risk of your game being affected. There are 3 different escape puzzles for this, and we were a large group of people. I booked as a group of 4 people with my friends, so the way it worked out is we were able to have one room to ourselves and come together with the rest of the team at the end. This was nice because we got warmed up and on that sweet sweet puzzle solving high before meeting up with strangers, and then with excitement we made it to the end everyone working together. We were also lucky to be with the people we were with. I would strongly suggest booking as a group of 4-5 so you are most likely to end up in this scenario which will mostly guarantee your enjoyment of the game. This is a game with actors. Our experience with them was very positive. They were great to interact with, and they were very helpful with solving the puzzles without being pushy or nosy. They were just there to ensure we had a good time, and they were good at not breaking. The puzzles were fun! Not crazy difficult but we definitely needed the help of the actor there to ensure we made it out in time (it was good to know when we were on the right or wrong track). The room set designs were soooo nice. Very atmospheric and great at immersing us. One thing I really appreciated about the game was the introduction to the world and the puzzle areas. We watched a couple of short informational videos, and then a character came to get us and led us to the different areas. We come across each character one at a time, at the same time checking out all the rooms and seeing where things are. This was smooth and pleasant, so when it came time to play it was not overwhelming. I really enjoyed the experience overall and would strongly recommend!

Amazing use of actors who made the experience smooth and seamless. The puzzles were clever and well within the range of manageable. I enjoyed the interactive way in which we were able to figure out the identity of the rat. I would recommend this for the entire family even though it is not considered a "kids game". I can't wait to come back and play more games from Secret City Adventures.

When it comes to rooms with strangers, the people you’re with can really make or break the experience. Unfortunately, we had a particularly loud and domineering participant who made the room less enjoyable than it could have been. On the plus side, the actors were excellent and the set design was beautiful and detailed. But this infuriating person has put me off mixed group rooms, in general.

13 people were divided into 3 groups and the 2 of us were in a group of 5 people in a smaller room. The room is on an easier side especially with the actor’s help. And we finished earlier to help the other group. Overall, the live actors are fun and awesome, the rooms were good. But I feel I didn’t experience the other two rooms fully.
We went to a small room which is on the easier side

I absolutely loved this room. It is so cool getting to traverse through an actual castle while doing an escape room and the actress that I ended up following was phenomenal. The storyline and puzzles change based on which of the live actors you’re following and I’m sure that there are varying levels of satisfaction you get from that, but I really enjoyed my storyline. It is a little strange though that since the group is split up, you will never be doing parts of a different room. Not my favorite aspect of it, but still enjoyed it a lot. More heavy on immersion, theme, and storyline than puzzles though. The puzzles were a bit weak.

Escape room with a show! The rooms were really fun and I loved how you had to revisit the rooms but look at them from different perspectives. The big downside here is because there are so many people you only get to see 1 of the 3 rooms as you are divided early on. Makes you feel like you are “missing out” on 2/3 of the escape

Escape room at Casa Loma is a very different take on the traditional escape room as the whole build of the room is massive. Too massive to the point where you and your friends would have to be seperated into different zones of the room to complete each room only to come back together around the end and not getting to experience the whole escape room. Fairly easy escape rooms as there are live actors basically monitoring you and giving hints whether or not you’re in the right direction. Other than that, the room is very well detailed to the point it really did immerse myself into the story as well as the acting was phenomenal.
Gameplay was lackluster because you bring all your friends only to be seperated and doing the puzzles in seperate groups. And not being able to experience the whole escape room rather than just a section you were assigned to. But, actors were well immersed into their role.
Atmosphere is probably one of the top tier escape room builds really felt like I was in that era.

Very interesting as there are live actors who are acting, as well as a massive escape room only to be seperated into different zones.
Plot is top tier imo

Nothing too hard, plus the actors sometimes tell you if you’re in the right direction or not, even when not asking for a hint…

Was a fun experience since it was inside Castle Loma. The only downside is that you need a big group and you are separated into different rooms. Some of which are cooler than others. Not being able to experience each room was a bit of a let down but overall was a fun time.
