I think there was a language barrier issue here. Although they had both French & English instructions to all the puzzles that needed instructions.. the translation didn't always make sense in English, so we struggled a little at points.

Gameplay

Really cool rooms. Different style with a black out maze as the end room. Super cool. Struggled a bit with the French-English translations though, which made the puzzles a bit tricky to figure out.

Atmosphere

Amazing puzzles!! Very cool props and rooms.

Customer service

Staff were great & did their best with helping us figure out the puzzles with the language barrier. Lovely lovely people.

This room truly embraced the whimsy of Alice in Wonderland in a way that allowed us to really become part of it rather than simply witnessing it. We had so much fun! I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates this theme and embraces a little crazy. It's absolutely in my top games.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

I think the set design was unique and interesting. The puzzles were well designed and in theme as well!

Story

Story is typical and maybe lacking in narrative because of this, but the elements of the experience were so well integrated that it feels like it serves the story in its place.

Difficulty

Hard

The puzzles are atypical and require various skill sets to solve.

Ideal number of players

3

3-4 seems appropriate. More may be too crowded and too little puzzles to go around.

Scary

Not scary

Live actors

Physically active

Very

You'll need the ability to crouch, crawl, and climb up at least 3 feet.

Accessibility

Climbing/crawling needed, there is a sound puzzle but hearing does not need to be acute for it, and no color puzzles though there is a darkness/blacklight section.

Easy to find location

No

It's one door in a small street of restaurants so pay close attention.

Parking

Medium

It's in the city. We went in the evening but found street parking a couple of blocks away. There is also a parking deck within a few blocks.

Of the three games I played at A Double Tour (Go to Yabe, Secret of the Dunes, and In Wonderland), In Wonderland was my favorite. Each space felt appropriately Wonderland-y in different ways. I think A Double Tour's strength is their setbuilding, and In Wonderland is no exception. The game toys with perspective in a way that seems obvious for the setting, yet isn't actually common among other Alice-themed games I've played. Unfortunately, like their other games, maintenance is a bit lacking; there's signs of wear on a number of surfaces. The last part of the game is fun to move around in, and I think is a pretty good take on the weirdness and disorientation that might happen in Wonderland. However, if there was ever a fire, the same aspects that make it enjoyable could also be a safety hazard. Hopefully their fire suppression systems are well maintained.

This was unbelievably fun. It was such a cool layout but so hard for only two people. The gamemaster was absolutely fantastic. We didn’t make it out, but highly recommend.

So much fun! ♥️⏱️🃏 It’s not often an escape room company can take on the Alice In Wonderland theme and do it justice, but Double Tour manages exactly that- and impressively so! If you love beautiful and unique sets you won’t want to miss this one (although, I’ve honestly been impressed by all the DT rooms I’ve done so far!) GM was fantastic. I’d say this is a solid 4 person room even for enthusiasts. One of the rooms is so extensive I’d be doubtful less than three people could finish it. However, my friend and I had a blast even without escaping. Really appreciate the artistry and love put into this room and would definitely re-visit in the future just to complete it. (mild comic spoilers)

I think our experience would have been better with a more attentive GM. There were two of us playing the game. We knew it might be a struggle, so we told the person who greeted us that our goal was to finish it. He said he’d take that into account and that everything should go smoothly. Things were going well, until I asked for help and no one answered me. No sound, no video. Very disappointing! This was my second time at “À Double Tour,” and nothing makes me want to go back because of the GMs’ general lack of attention. Otherwise, the game itself was okay. A small group is recommended given the limited space in some rooms.

Gameplay

The logic behind the puzzles is a bit far-fetched at times.

The GM wasn't attentive. We were really disappointed, just because of that.
