Hong Kong Afterdark

This is a game FOR enthusiasts. It has so many amazing elements and interesting game play. There were some puzzles that you needed prior knowledge for which was pretty tricky, and we needed help from the Games Masters for. That didn’t dampen our experience though, we had such a good time. I will say this game needs minimum 5 people to get through and you will not stop. Such a good time!

Loved the atmosphere and the difficulty of the puzzles. Was such a fun time and very immersive. The room is linear so going with less is better. Any many puzzles you can’t really have more than 2-4 working on at any given time. However there is a lot to do and the “whodunnit” aspect is better with more people. So 5-6 players might be a sweet spot? We did it with 4 experienced people and escaped but it was a lot. There was a lot of story to absorb in a short period of time. I honestly would have been fine with just the escape room aspect rather than the voting/whodunnit part.

It's not great for a lot of people. It's a linear puzzle so u can only really do one at a time so if you have a lot of people, there will be some who won't be able to participate. Only go with about 5.

My favourite omnescape room by far!!! The set is just incredible honestly beautiful. We had 5 people and set a new escape record which added to the fun 😀 it was flawless when I found motel Betty to have some issues .

Great room, if you enjoy a challenge this is definitely the room for you. We had 7 players and did not make it out. Each room and puzzle must be solved in order, which is great for some but frustrating for others. The amount of detail in this room made you feel very a part of the game. There is an additional side quest involved to challenge you even more. Overall great room.

This 2 hour escape experience is fairly different than the typical escape room. The room features a different “win condition” outside of just solving all the puzzles in the room and that is a murder mystery type element. You must find and read through evidence throughout the experience. This is not everyone’s cup of tea in escape rooms so I understand the mix of ratings on this room. Outside of that element some of the puzzles are unique and fun, while others are frustrating and time consuming. Overall, the room is well made and could be greatly improved with just a few changes. Omescape has some of my all time favourite escape rooms, this one fell a bit short in comparison but is still worth completing for sure.
