Your Nana was always a bit estranged from the family, but you tried your best to stay connected to her. I mean after all, she’s quite old, and she shouldn’t have to spend her days in solitude. You do really worry about her, but she insists that she's fine in her mountain cabin by herself. It was always an hourly phone call that was your little bonding time, but nearly a month has passed since your last contact with her. You decide its time to take a visit up to check on dear old Nana Hannah. It takes you all day to get directions and now that night has fallen, you only make out the cabin by the cracks that shine through her fencing from your headlights. You peak through a broken window pane to see red marks down at the end of the hall. Calling out, there is no answer. Did someone break into the cabin? Is that slashes of blood on the wall? What happened to Nana Hannah?

This room is probably better for parties of 3-4. We did it as a group of 2 and were definitely a bit busy, but most of the puzzles were fun, straight forward, and made sense. The storyline/theming wasn’t particularly strong and some parts did not align well with the room, but we still had a nice time and enjoyed the room. However, we did notice a few problems during our visit: 1. Halfway into the game, a random person knocked on our door and entered our room (we thought it was part of the game, but it was not….) That person was looking for her friends. Such a disturbance!! Although this was not entirety on the staff, they could have done a better job preventing this from happening. 2. We were stuck at one of the mechanical puzzles since the sensor wasn’t working - we got the code right and double checked that there was the “clicking sound”, but the lock just wouldn’t open. Although we tried to tell the host that there was something wrong with the lock, they did not really do anything to help solve this issue (or maybe they couldn’t see/hear us well). This part was a bit frustrating, since we lost a lot of time waiting for the sensor to work. This could have been solved if the host asked us about the code and remote opened it for us. 3. In hindsight, the pre-game instructions could be a bit more clear about the dos and donts. (Am not going into details here cuz I don’t want to spoil anyone.) 4. And when we tried discuss these issues with the host after the game, we felt like they did not really care about our feedback and was more focused on how they did not get us at the jump scare..?
See review! They were nice but not particularly attuned to what’s going on in the room on remote con. Also did not prevent random visitor from entering our room during the game.

Really enjoyed! Game flow was good, puzzles made sense. Only frustration was parking and finding the location.

You have to either pay for parking in a garage or if you’re lucky enough to find a spot on the street it’s free after 6 o’clock.

Fun game with a spooky feeling. Our game host (Christine) was great! A nice mix of traditional and mechanical locks. Clues and puzzles all make sense! Parking is street or paid garage, so arrive extra early.

WE LOVE THE GREAT ESCAPE ROOM ORLANDO!! We are new to the escape room community but overall we have loved doing these. Mountain Top Murders was thought through very well. There was a puzzle for everyone to do and teamwork was a must. Very spooky but nothing too crazy. Definitely recommend this room!!

Great theming and a nice mix of puzzles that flowed fairly well. The effects and props were well made and added to the story.
Gameplay flowed very well. My team did solve a few things without using the built in clues. If you search the room very well and are experienced player this may happen. This is Definitely a room where searching for any loose boards or hidden keys pays off.
Well designed set and cool lighting effects. The thunder/ lighting was a nice touch.
Dev was polite and a responsive game Master.

I have played a few similar rooms before. Still a great room for a moderately experienced player. I think this room would be very challenging for newer players.
Just the right amount of creepiness and gore.
Hard
This depends on your experience level and that of your team. My team of 5 figured out most of the puzzles with no help. We ended up taking two clues/ nudges.
Mechanical
Mixed tbh. Plenty of combo locks but also lighting and sound effects.

Decent sized space and plenty to split up and solve.
Scary
A few moments of gore and dramatic dead body reveals.

A little gory and theme is based around a serial killer that eats people fingers and toes. Not for younger kids. Teens would be fine imo.

No climbing or crawling.
It would be hard to navigate with mobility issues. Several clues require looking closely and listening carefully as well.

Parking is around the corner in library parking garage. No validation provided. Not terrible, cost is $4 to park. Def recommended car polling.

This was a really fun room! There were lots of puzzles (lots of locks and puzzles) and it was so much fun! We almost set a record if we didn’t get stuck and frustrated on the last puzzle. Highly recommend!

Really great murder room. What you would expect. Reminded me of last location by will to escape Orlando and would say that is a better room but this was also great.

Full disclosure, we had played one game here many years ago and it was a terrible experience but we decided (based on recent reviews) to give them another chance. We were pleasantly surprised by all the improvements and we really enjoyed this room. The puzzles were fun and interesting and the solves were satisfying. They are in the process of implementing better tech for in room clues and transitioning some mechanical features to high tech so we had a few glitches but they were quickly resolved without impacting our time or gameplay. Overall a fun experience.
Nothing really novel but gameplay flowed really well form one puzzle to the next.
Set design, effects and props were well done and immersive.
Excellent staff attention and quick resolution of any glitches.
