Clue system was unique. It was a fun room, not scary but it had a creepy vibe. Game master was friendly and did a great job. Room was a little difficult for two people (which we were warned of in advance) but we were more just there for the experience and didn’t mind that we didn’t get out (very first room to not escape)

Immaculate vibes. Really cool story behind it. Puzzles were a bit challenging and we fumbled a bit. For the most part, pretty intuitive one main thing that we didn't solve but still escaped through some luck. Would definitely try other rooms here. GM watches and listens to give relevant clues through slips of paper under the door.

Very unique and interesting setup. Also the story line is amazing. Great combination of high tech and manual puzzles. Great for both adults and kids

I am a bit confused by reviews because anyone who is going to play “The Dark Room” should expect the room to be DARK or at least dimly lit. There are were 4 of us and we all though that puzzles were a lot of fun and the perfect level of challenging. Good story lining and our guide was fantastic!

This room has a great opening and is dimly lit. There is a shortage of light that your team will need to handle. This room is fairly non-linear and kept a group of 4 experienced players busy for 45 minutes. The puzzles were solid and on theme. This room is eerie, but not scary
Some fun puzzles from tactile to making connections around the room
Spacious
Chuck was an amazing host!
The plot was very well-rounded and developed as you went on

There is lots of space and it is non-linear, this room could probably handle 6 newer players with ease
Spooky
Dark and eerie, but no scares involved

Like the name suggests, you start off being left in a dark room with some dim flashlights. Most of the difficulty is in being able to keep track of things with limited light sources. That said, that did add an additional layer of creepiness to the experience and the overall story. I think you could probably skip most of the story elements and work your way through this escape room but there were story elements around if you wanted them. I did make the room more exciting by thinking the room had a jump scare (there isn’t one) and telling the rest of the party that there was going to be one. My anxiety ramped up as the room went on which was actually a positive for ambiance. The set dressings themselves were pretty sparse in the beginning and the ending to the room was a let down. Most of the middle was a fun (and terrifying in my head) time.

Very unique and different experience. It is what it says it is, a dark room and that is really the biggest challenge with this room. There not so many puzzles, but they were very time consuming and could make you lose a lot of time if attempted too many times. Would recommend for those looking for a different experience.
Gameplay flowed pretty well with all things considered. The biggest challenge is the darkness and the not so bright lights
It is what it says it is, a dark room. Very different experience from other escape rooms and really makes you search for clues

As the name suggests, darkness is a big part of the game. I didn’t find any outstanding puzzles but just the darkness was a huge challenge for us to escape.

This is a game that relies heavily on locks, and has little to no tech… and I kind of enjoyed it. It’s a little spooky, but definitely not scary, and I think it provides a lot of room for collaboration and creative problem solving. This is a great beginner room; nothing fancy, but a really good intro to game mechanics for a new Escape Artist. I will say that this game really relied heavily on the darkness, so the atmosphere was lacking. Also, the storyline deals pretty heavily with the weaponization of mental illness, which I didn’t love. All this said, I had fun in this room. I brought a friend here who had never done a room before and this was enough to hook them, so I’d call it a success.
It was… okay. It’s a bare-bones room, so if you’re looking for incredible set design and intense immersion, this probably isn’t the room for you.
Everyone was so kind!

I’m gonna be honest… the story is vaguely problematic (focusing mainly on weaponizing mental illness), so this room loses points on story for me.

It is dark, so if you don’t do well in low lighting, you will struggle in this room.

Seemed simply put together which I can understand due to a low light room and the story line
Flowed well, more story comes out at the end and as you play
