Rumors are circulating on the campus of the American University Saint-Trinity. Some members of the famous Kappa sorority would have written an honor guide that must now be followed to the letter by all members, under penalty of expulsion. Everything is checked: boyfriends, physical appearance, dating and more. Several students are outraged by the situation, so you decide to introduce the Kappa residence during the annual meeting of the sororities of Saint-Trinity in order to unveil the whole thing in broad daylight. Who is behind this monstrosity? You'll only have an hour to find out who wrote their unsightly honor guide.

Puzzles 🧩: 7/10 Set/Wow Factor ✨: 8.5/10 Story/Immersion 🔮: 8/10 Fun Factor 🤘: 7.5/10 "Kappa" features a wonderfully built set that looks great and perfectly captures a distinctly Mean Girls energy, and is spot-on for the Greek sorority storyline. We appreciated the atypical theme of this game and creativity in the storyline. We didn't quite escape though, it was the first game in a while we didn't finish on time. The game leans heavily on search-and-find, and we spent more of the hour hunting than solving (and sometimes we didn't know what or where we had to continue to search). Language was part of the problem... though this game is available to play in both English and in French, when we'd requested to play in English, the intro video and our clues came in French anyway, which was a bit of a barrier for us. When we asked for hints we ended up reverting to French and our French is intermediate. In addition, some of the translation choices in-game actively pointed us the wrong way, and the room is light on signposting to begin with. We felt like a handful of the puzzles had a lot of red-herrings and required a leap in logic, though in fairness we'd just come off a six-hour drive and weren't at our sharpest. We recommend playing with a group of at least four players. Some puzzles cover a lot of physical ground and you'll want the extra pairs of eyes to cover it.

We did have to reach out to reschedule our game, and although we speak some French, it is limited. We asked to play in English and were told it is possible. The game components were pre-translated in writing in English in the room. However clue/hint requests and giving were done through French conversation leaving us in a bit of a jam, so not sure if things got lost in translation.

There's not a lot of signposting and it is not immediately obvious what players are supposed to do. There's a lot of moving around that is necessary.

Really great room The first stage was tougher without the clue We failed the first room—it was really frustrating!!😉 Not because the room was bad, but simply because we were disappointed that we didn’t figure out one of the steps and wasted a lot of time on it! Good puzzles—even the kids solved several of them! We enjoyed the experience!

Wish we had more time to do the rest of the rooms here as the 2 we did (Kappa and Orbite) were a lot of fun. Theming, props, puzzles, all made sense, fit the vibe and were really enjoyable. This is a sorority/Mean Girls room, so if that’s your vibe highly recommend. There are a lot of puzzles here that require a lot of communication between distances so probably more than 2 people required.

A room best played with at least three or four people. We played with two and ended a couple more minutes because the puzzles have you going all over the place and communication is key to transmitting the info from the puzzle to the solution area Definitely a fun dynamic game but with a lot to solve

I have mixed feelings about this game - the set and tech are a little above average for the area, but cluing felt subpar. There were at least two interactions which seemed to have no signposting at all; we were only able to trigger them because we've seen them before in other rooms. Overall a good time, but not hugely remarkable.

Great concept and loved the well-lit conditions and decor - it made me appreciate the production values. Tongue in cheek and funny

Gameplay

I loved the flow but some elements were weird. The an and t shouldn’t have had hearts on them since they didn’t go with the heart puzzle. It was confusing. Not always clear when a clue was solved. Chimes or music when codes are entered correctly would have been helpful in initial room.

The room is designed for four people, which is the perfect number since you have to go back and forth a lot and move around quite a bit. The atmosphere could use a bit more of a girly vibe and some mystery, but a determined group and a good DJ make that irrelevant. I highly recommend it!
