68 escape rooms
Like their other experience, this one is ugly and braindead. Things that sound good given the theme of this room. The problem is, it’s also poorly planned, terribly maintained, illogical, and not fun in the slightest. We’ve played many escape rooms by this point, and immediately know what we’re in for (and have a good idea about a creator’s intentions) immediately upon entering a room. This was either a sincere, misguided misfire that really believes it’s something more than it really is…..or it was made by a charlatan, whose decisions to cut corners by furnishing a space with the cheapest second hand materials and Spirit Halloween decor they could find, would somehow fool most people into a having a good time. It felt like the kind of thing someone’s dad would build in an afternoon or two for the neighborhood kids on Halloween night. Good god am I getting tired of sub par escape rooms experiences charging regular escape room prices. I really don’t like writing scathing reviews, in fact I never do, but this flat out deserves it. Not a single puzzle flowed. NOT ONE. The room is grimy and poorly maintained (and no, this was not set dressing). The story is completely nonsensical and nothing correlates to anything in a logical way. Endless reading, explanations and time waster puzzles that don’t add anything meaningful to the experience. Many “DON’T TOUCH!” labels on things that should be inaccessible (including an emergency escape door? Why make this even accessible if it’s not part of the experience?!) Everything was tired, and worn out. There were multiple busted props scattered about, and presumably all the “scares” were broken. You couldn’t even laugh at how stupid it was. Most notably one “pop up” thing was literally destroyed and the instructions pertaining to it (presumably to “wait in this spot to get scared”) were still in the room despite the fact NOTHING happened, as it was clearly in disrepair, non functioning and inoperable. Do anything else with your $32. Light it on fire for all I care. It would honestly be more entertaining.

This room had many of the same problems as their previous room- disjointed gameplay and a confusing theme. These rooms have the potential to be great, they just need a lot of polishing before they can be.
This room had the same problems as their other room, the gameplay did not flow well throughout the separate sections of the overall room.
The atmosphere was okay, the back section felt a little too ‘new’ to be part of a building in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. And the middle section felt very kitschy.
Our gamemaster, amethyst, was great!

I’ve played other apocalypse and outbreak rooms before, I haven’t found one yet that I’m a fan of.
There was barely any discernable storyline.

Overall the room was not the greatest. The set was and props were worn with several pieces/puzzles being out of use. The flow could have been much better as well. When asked for clues, the game master gave us clues for things we had already solved. One of the puzzles had been reset incorrectly, and after the previous hints had been little to no help, including several being for the incorrect puzzle, we had given up on asking for hints completely. I was not impressed by our game masters response afterwards and especially after realizing they had reset the room wrong. This was by far my least enjoyable experience I’ve had at an escape room.

This was the worst experience I’ve had at an escape room. The game master was very unresponsive and clearly made it know she was tired and didn’t want to be there. The room was not set up correctly and we could not finish because of it. The GMs response to her not setting up the room was “we’ll talk tried” Would not recommend this room to anyone.
The room was very disjointed and cheaply put together.
Was greeted by the “game master” with I’m exhausted. Was not helpful at all.

very fun and creepy room. the scaries were great and the puzzles were pretty cool.
flow was kinda off, two of the locks were almost identical so we used one key on the wrong lock but got it open so we were confused because we got ahead of ourselves and didn't even realize it.
atmosphere was creepy, the props didn't all work correctly so that was kind of a setback but still fun.
Mackenzie was very sweet.

Jump scares were sooo good, so many rooms, and so many different puzzles were cool.

Best zombie one done, so many rooms, and great cheap but great ammbiance.

Best Hudson Escape has to offer, a really immersive and HUGE space with multiple rooms. Lots of great puzzles and different new ideas, just a little disjointed and needed for story/ narrative support. I can't wait for the next room, a little upsetting ONLY the 2 rooms. Great detail and attention to detail on "Zombie" theme. Loved the ending was really rang true to theme.

Wish they had more than 2 rooms, was huge and so many sections. Pleasantly surprising for Hudson area and theme choice.

It’s your typical zombie apocalypse room with tons of props, but it’s got multiple rooms and tons of things to do to keep everyone on your team busy! We had a blast. The owners are very kind, and they will be opening up their 2nd room at this location (US Highway 19 Motel) soon. We will definitely be back to try it out. It’s worth the drive from where we live!
