The Weeping Witch is a spirit that lures people close by mimicking the sound of a woman crying. When people hear its wails, they follow the sound into the darkness, thinking someone needs help. Once they get close enough, the Witch attacks and slowly sucks the life out of its victims. If you choose to enter Madam Ruby’s study, that is what is awaiting you. Will you be able to banish the evil spirit and end your family curse before the Weeping Witch consumes you too?

What a spooky magical room! It was quite “Bewitching” and to play it on Valentines Day too was extra special and fun! Words cannot describe The Weeping Witch! What Cross Roads Escape Games does well with their rooms is intertwining their storytelling with special and thematic effects while maintaining a consistent and fun gameplay, and this room did just that! The spooky voodoo ambiance was impressive and had a perfect blend of jump scares, high tech and lock-and-key puzzles, and smooth transitions. If you’re worried about being scared in this room, the scares are predictable as to when the Weeping Witch will appear, but still beautifully crafted with a strong set design full of laughs, scares, and surprises. The hint system was very interactive and SO much fun!
The gameplay was smooth, blended well with one another, and had a mixture of high tech and lock-and-key puzzles. I would rate the puzzles as medium due to heightened pressure of a live actor and possible jump scares enticing you to work faster and continue in your conquest to lift the curse lol.
I truly enjoyed the set design and the special effects of this room! From the lighting, fog and strobe lights, music, and props, you truly felt immersed in Madame Ruby’s study and that you were on a conquest to break the curse!
We absolutely LOVED our Game Master! She was very interactive, fun, and humorous, and she kept us on our toes. The hint system in this game is HILARIOUS and fits perfectly with the theming of the room.
Yes
There is a live actor, but the set design is the most impressive part of this escape room!

A MUST PLAY ROOM EVEN IF YOU'RE SCARED OF HORROR ROOMS!! Definitely in the top 5 for me. Immersion was it's best suite and puzzles were unique and interesting. Do with people that get scared easy :)) makes the experience a whole lot enjoyable. Puzzles were easy to connect and flow through each of them, and fit the theme well.
Again immersion was crazy good, the execution with the live actor is what really makes this game shine. I will say I appreciate having a time to do puzzles and a time where the actor comes in, lets us focus on the puzzles and be immersed with the actor at the appropriate times.
Set design was beautiful! Hint system was also fun and creative.
GM was awesome!

Very interesting, again the execution with everything was perfectly done.
Story was immersive and was only strengthened with the creative puzzles, as well as live actor.

Puzzles not too bad, just hard to think with the looming threat lol.

I’ve done probably 15 escape rooms and this one is by the far the best. Absolutely the best experience thanks to our Gm Molly and by far the best horror one we have done, hands down. Amazing.

absolutely incredible room! i played with four people which i think is the perfect amount. anymore would be too much in my opinion because the room isn’t super spacious. the puzzles were perfect for the room. they weren’t super difficult but since you’re scared and under pressure they seem way harder than they are. i love how they balanced puzzles with scares as well. usually with horror rooms, it’s so focused on trying to scare you that the puzzles start lacking and it then feels more like an experience rather than an escape room. that is not the case with weeping witch. we had to solve puzzles just as much as we were getting scared. as for scare rating, i’d give it a 3.5/5. i was more scared in the beginning just becquse of my nerves lol. actor is incredible though and really gets some screams out of you. overall an incredible escape room everyone has to add to their list. i would come back to play the same room again!
very smooth gameplay. puzzle orders made sense and each puzzle was different, fun, and unique.
incredible set design and atmosphere. the whole thing felt real and made everything so much spookier
great staff everyone was so friendly and welcoming. our GM olivia did a great job with the character and added a nice silly interactive touch.

the concept of this room is super cool and different. it’s rare to find a good spooky escape room that has a good balance of puzzles and scares. usually scary rooms focus more on trying to scare you and then kind of put less effort into making the puzzles make sense. this room had both!
plot and story made a lot of sense and it all flowed well for the room
Medium
wasn’t terribly hard. i played with. group of four. two of us work at escape rooms and have played 50+ rooms. the two others have played around 5-10 rooms. we escaped with a little over 3 minutes left. the puzzles weren’t easy, but not hard for no reason.
High tech
lots of tech, flashing lights, fog, sound effects etc. a lot of the puzzles were techy also. only a few locks and combos.

way scarier when the room started just becquse of nerves per usual. the atmosphere made it very spooky and when the actor comes out to scare you

This room is beautiful. Every detail, from the audio to the puzzle placements was incredible. There was some very cool animatronics and the story was very good. This was my first time doing an interactive room like this. Definitely one of my favorites!

Two things you can be sure of in this room you're going to scream at least once and you'll be in total darkness multiple times. Turning off the lights once was okay but after that it lost its punch and scare factor. Just seemed annoying and distracting. The actor did a good job and I enjoyed the combination of theater and escape room. Overall good experience.
