EM: Top-notch! Incredible! Indescribable! Not just an escape game but a true experience. NK: By far the best escape-game-type experience I've had, and as EM said, it even goes beyond that. The huge highlight that really got to me personally was the immersion being maintained from A to Z throughout our visit, not just during the game. You really feel part of it and get drawn into the game much more easily. As a result, it's even more fun! Deep Inside cleverly scripted the usual payment and safety briefing routines into the story. The sets and effects are wow! The puzzles are smooth, intuitive, and original, without being too easy. The hint system is also beautifully integrated and scripted so it doesn't take anything away from the immersion. The acting is top quality, both through the hint system mentioned and through the other GM interventions. Apart from one brief moment in the scenario that reminded me we were in an escape game (but I'm really nitpicking here) and a one-second timing mismatch in an effect (again, nitpicking), everything was truly perfect. In the end, the only thing I can criticize here is exclusively my teammate (because he wasn't showing me everything he was doing, the rascal)... Haha! We can't wait to come discover Deep Inside's other adventures. Even the price feels perfectly justified to me and is well worth it given the exceptional experience we got to play. After The Taxidermist, we got told about the magician living in the City of Martyrs, and asked if we could help stopping his evil plan. We did of course say yes! As a magician myself, I am always intrigued by magic themed rooms, and this one did a great job of implementing some magic in the room, in a couple of interesting ways. The game gets a lot from being in this super cool world they have made, and without that, it wouldn't have been as special, but since it is, it ends up being a super cool experience. There was also the funniest easter egg I have ever seen in this game. It's only possible for a magician to understand, and I am so thankful that they added it. Moments like that, is truly special.

The puzzles flowed smoothly, the set transformations feel like actual magic, and it had some of the most unique actor interactions we have ever seen - the live finale had us giggling with delight. We escaped in about an hour with zero hints; the difficulty is perfectly tuned. No time limit; it's about story and experience, and it nails both.

This room is great but not the top. The taxidermist is resoundingly better in almost every way. I also liked the grand hotel better as well. However, those two are rated higher and I thought this one was still very good and had a fun story and cool interactions but the story and decor in taxidermist are just unprecedented.

The most immersive experience I have ever been a part of. The narrative, the live acting, the unique puzzles… everything about this experience is worth the international trip.

On our 4 country tour, the Magician makes my top 3. It's a perfect game combining the feeling of being an adventurer with puzzles, theatricality, and an awesome set design. If we were able we would play every game here. I guess we have another good reason to come back to Paris soon.

Not a top game for me, but very nice game that gives you a unique role (and opportunity to create a character yourself). The puzzles are better than Taxidermiste (and without the flow issues), but I'd recommend Taxidermiste for its overall experience, costuming and storytelling. (But make Grand Hotel your Parisian priority!)

Very immersive but simple/straightforward puzzles. I get scared pretty easily and this was VERY SCARY for me!!

Immersive experience, we did this along with the Fun House. The puzzles lean toward more observation, the environment was well made and overall we had fun. A great time.
