Surprisingly, we did not have fun. The puzzles felt different than other escape rooms we have done - but we couldn't get attuned to the flow. We did not realize that the room is linear so our attention was scattered among different puzzles instead of focusing on only one solvable puzzle. Also we do not like hints generally and apparently this room was designed with the intent to give plenty of hints via a pager. However, the game master did not give clear instructions that the hints were built into the pager so I read several hints before I realized that they were hints and not mandatory to enjoy the game. The room is very old (11 years old) and some things looked worn down. And one puzzle was frustrating because it required us to notice (which we did not) a small detail on one-use-only "something". Also some objects must be reused for different puzzles - we did not expect that.

One of the best escape rooms. Entrance to the building is super unique and very different. My boyfriend and I had a little less than a minute left. New puzzles we hadn't seen in other rooms before. So it was different, in a great way. Highly recommend. Our GM was great too with the hint system. Overall excellent experience.

We had fun working this room. Enjoyed the mix of puzzles and the unique clue system.

This is the second room I’ve done at this location and they continue to impress!

We have done about 100 rooms and this was definitely one of the top 3.

it was a really cool room! i loved the atmosphere and overall it was a great experience. i do wish that the instructions for the hint system had been better. the moderator attempted to be coy and said "click the button twice, you'll know it when you see it", and also explained separately that there was an in universe hint system that we would find. when i asked if it was a hint system or necessary clues to solve the puzzles, she said it was "a bit of both", which was not true, it was only a hint system and not needed to solve the puzzles. i wish the instructions had been clearer and simpler, and had just said "there is a pager that will text you if you need hints in order to maintain the immersion of the room, but the hints are not necessary to solve any puzzles". the hints were also pretty frequent, which was partially because we did this as a two person room and it is a lot of puzzles for only two people, but there were some points where it felt more like we were just being guided by the moderator the whole time instead of solving any puzzles. and i would have stopped using the pager if i understood the system better but i was confused by the explanation from the beginning.

One of my top escape rooms of all time! Great humor and use of tech! The game master was amazing!

Our fam has done 35 rooms and this ranked as #4! (Just a few from Escape Hour ranked higher) Immersive story, and such a unique use of 80’s nostalgia. And what a first impression! We knew right away this one was gonna be memorable. Excellent host too. Outstanding experience!

Loved this room. From the entry to the escape room itself, to the puzzles, everything was so thematic and nostalgic. Our game masters were very sweet and the way to get clues on game was super fun. Definitely an amazing experience

What a fantastic room—shot to the top of my list of faves. I went recently with my sister and brother law who have done one and zero rooms before, respectively. They had a blast and I’m worried I set the bar too high for them going forward. Such attention to detail from start to finish and top tier hosting from Patrick. The cueing is intuitive without being obvious and the hint system kept us in the world of the game. A really great variety of puzzles—it was approachable but not boring. Truly an excellent room for enthusiasts and novices alike. And plenty for everyone to puzzle on individually. We are excited to come back with others in December to do Operation G.
