In Cornellà there is Outline, an old abandoned factory owned by the late Mr. Morgan. He adopted a somewhat peculiar boy whom he named James, whose parents had died in a tragic accident inside the factory. It was said that Mr. Morgan practiced the occult within the facilities, he was obsessed with all things esoteric and contact with the afterlife, and that obsession ended up costing him his life. James continues to guard the old factory, sometimes even voices are heard inside, but no one knows what happens behind that fence, the people around live in terror, as it is said that the body of Mr. Morgan wanders around the factory , and anyone who enters the area disappears forever. A few days ago, we received a video distress message from the missing Markus Smith, who appears to be a local reporter who decided to investigate the area. Someone anonymous has hired you to rescue it and find out what happens there. The remuneration is too juicy to not accept the case. Will you be able?

2 hours of ultimate terror. The play space is HUGE! We sprinkle everything with terrifying screamers that constantly appear, disturbing light/sound effects and we have the perfect cocktail by Outline! To solve the puzzles you will need to arm yourself with a lot of courage and, above all, coolness... and then if there are 2 or 3 of you! Good luck to anyone who might find themselves alone, in the first part of the game the appearances are almost constant and work every time! We blew up the hurlometer. Regarding the puzzles, given the intensity of the room one might expect rather simple challenges, but these are rather original and well thought out! We are moving away from the “padlocks everywhere” pattern practiced in most horror theaters. This is a point that has not been put aside and it is very appreciable! In short, it’s the perfect experience to get very scared with friends. (Bring clothes that don’t leak, & good shoes, this is probably the room in which we came out the dirtiest!)

Out of the 118 rooms Ive done & 30+ Terpecas, I think this is my favorite room. It was the most immersive. The theme remained consistently eerie and the jump scares were equivalent to that of a movie post-editing. I had a difficult time comprehending how swiftly and stealthily the actor was maneuvering to frighten us as he did. I also appreciate that they do a great job of adjusting how much they frighten teams based on how much the team can handle.

Full disclosure, this was our last room after a long trip, so we were a little fatigued even before we showed up. But things went wrong from the very beginning. We entered the space where signs on the wall directed us to deposit our remaining payment in cash into a machine which would dispense the key to begin the experience. We were unaware that this was going to be necessary, and so didn’t have a spare 100€ in cash on hand. We left to go find a bank, but we’re called back into the room and they dropped the key presumably on the understanding that we’d sort it out at the end. (We later determined that the info that payment would be needed in exact change and in cash was on the website, but not on any of the confirmation emails. We had booked well in advance and hadn’t looked at the website in weeks. Once inside, the atmosphere was good. Creepy-dark. The big problem is that it was too dark to read. (And they were adamant about no external light sources.) We struggled through the first handful of puzzles, all the while being haunted by ghosts who felt more annoying than scary, And we eventually got to a lock situated in such a way that we could not even guess at what numbers were on the dial. After briefly trying to move the refrigerator to which it was attached so that we could read, we eventually gave up in frustration. We raised our hands and called the safe-word they had given us for people who wanted to leave the game. They did not stop the game. We tried several times and eventually just started wandering back through the pitch black hall looking for the emergency exit. (Heaven forbid there’s ever a real emergency there…) They eventually caught on that we were quitting and came out for a brief exit interview. Turns out they didn’t even have their English translator there. (We had requested an English content game… ) To their credit, they refused to take our payment for the game. And they were very friendly. But the experience itself was not fun at all. Trying to be as fair as possible: Some of our bad time may be because we were tired and perhaps a little cranky. Some of it was definitely because we are older and have issues with reading in low light. But the GMs could have made this all work for us, and did not at all.
