Creepy, not scary, well designed and challenging too. Good props to work with and interesting mechanisms. Definitely needs good communication in your group.

I'm not usually a horror fan, but this room blew me out of the water. The atmosphere is the perfect amount of scary without being outright distracting. The amount of detail and upkeep is truly impressive. Puzzles are layered on puzzles! An incredible use of a fairly small space makes the game feel dense and constantly engaging. Key items and places are hidden in plain sight, or near earlier puzzles, so it feels extra rewarding to say "I saw that earlier!" Reliance on several paper notes is balanced out by very cool physical props and puzzles. One lengthy and info-dense recording was helpfully repeated at our pace, so no panic scribbling or tedious relistening was required. GM Jeanette was an absolute delight. She pointed us in the right direction throughout the game without taking over or holding our hands. Her lovely (spiritual) presence only added to the atmosphere, and she was so nice on our way out!
GM Jeanette was phenomenal, and so kind!

WOW! Just wow! This was a top-notch experience! We stopped here on our road trip, and only had time for one room, but we'll be going back for more very soon!
We've done several cabin-themed rooms before, but this was by far my most favorite!
Lindsey truly made this room with her performance. Best GM we've ever had!

Cabin in the woods is not my favorite theme, but this was a great iteration - maybe my favorite "creepy cabin" game. One lock solution in particular won't be forgotten. And the end had me running.

I get SCARED in spooky games. Even the slightest but of scary gets me sweating so believe me when i say this room was FUN. We told the GM before hand that i get a little spooked and they treated me kindly! The puzzles were fun and interesting. The last puzzle threw us for a loop when the answer was revealed (so fun!) Finish with some time to spare and maybe your GM will let you do their bonus puzzle(my favorite puzzle of the room for sure)
Our GM was so fun!

As a certified scaredy cat I appreciated that this room was spooky but did not rely on cheap jumpscares

I’m not usually a fan of gore but I won’t pass up a good escape room and I’m so glad I didn’t! The game master made it fun and we really had a great time solving the puzzles. We got the right level of hints when needed that would nudge us on our way without giving us the answers. Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve had with escape rooms.

I have played probably ten or so spooky cabin games. This is my favorite. The last puzzle code alone blew our minds! So clever! Not the most difficult game, but challenging enough for four veteran players to rush a little. CU is just one of the best escape room facilities in the States and every game is worth a play. Personally this is my third fav here.....and that is high praise because all the rooms here are fantastic. Was hoping for more scary than spooky....but got all I needed from this room to love it.

Fun room. Liked the storyline a lot. The game master gave a lot of unasked for hints. If you want a figure it out on your own game maybe not for you.
Gave tons of hints. When we asked for less hints we got semi passive aggressive comments and then continued to give hints

Revenge of the Cabin was our 2nd game played on our 1st visit at CU Adventures and it was also a great experience. Feel free to see my Wizards Curse review for more comments on CUA as a company overall. Cabin was a tough room for only 2 players as there was a lot to do and remember. The darkness in several of the areas added to the room immersion, but also added to the difficulty (and made puzzles take longer). 2 players are doable, but I recommend having 3-5 players. The room had a lot of areas to explore both outside and inside the cabin, with movable walls, secret passages, and multiple elevations. A good variety of puzzles, with more locks/keys in this room, but still a good use of technology. I liked that the puzzles required some physical interactions, step-by-step approaches, and teamwork at times. All fun and fair, and CUA even personalizes the game with one of the puzzles. CUA uses a different hint system and in this game is a creepy Baby Doll that interacts with you. It is a cool idea, but if the doll was in 1 room and we were in another, we could not hear what the doll was saying. Even if the doll was in our room but on the other side, it was difficult to hear the doll. On several occasions, we had to ask the doll to repeat herself and this became very frustrating (and used precious time). You definitely need to have 1 person be responsible for keeping the doll close at all times. GM (Sara) gave us several helpful nudges and even a few extra minutes to make sure we were able to experience the entire room and have a successful experience (which we greatly appreciated). Sara could have been a little more proactive with giving us some nudges (as we spun our wheels early on), but RotC was still an enjoyable room and had a lot of fun.
