Was really disappointed in this one. To start off, the arcade machines featured so prominently in the photos were not working. While this did not impact game play, really detracted from the atmosphere. The room overall was really worn, and parts of the set that players must handle, came apart at first touch. In another part, there was a drawer that was stuck closed, so we left it alone not wanting to break anything, then the gamester had to tell us to force it open. In addition, game required a lengthy spiel from the gamemaster as to what was and was not off limits but the first puzzle required entering an area she said was not part of the game. Finally, the puzzle design was really lacking, many required unreasonable leaps in logic, or in particular puzzle, misinterpreted the 80s elements it was supposed to use, that caused great confusion.
The puzzles tried to bring in the 80s elements, but did so in a poor way, that just made them more confusing, and not very logical.
Almost everything in the room seemed worn, with major theming elements completely broken and gameplay items that didn't open smoothly causing delays and confusion.
Seemed pretty indifferent to us, and did not add a sense of fun or excitement
Particularly interesting or different
No
The premise was fun, but no real plot beyond that
A few neat tricks but a LOT of locks
Plenty of different puzzles to pass around
The video game machines (theming only) were not working, and the bar entry you have to lift to get access to some items came off in my hand
Physically active
Not at all
Accessibility
You do have to go behind a bar and up a short ladder
Very limited street parking, had to park (and pay) in the shopping center lot across the street
