Leather jacket? Check. Acid wash jeans? You know it. We're hitting the arcade tonight, so scrounge between the seats of your '84 Pontiac Fiero to find some quarters while Sweet Child o' Mine blares over the dashboard FM transistor radio. Between the flashing lights bouncing off your aviators and the smell of stale pizza, you hear rumors of the Arlington Arcade's closing. Can you save the arcade tonight?

Interesting puzzles. Non-linear, which was better for a bigger group.

Love the 80's vibe!
Played back in 2023 but all the staff when we played were amazing. They took the time after the room to tell us fun little things about it and chatted with us in the lobby.

Having grown up in the 80s there was so much nostalgia in this room. We loved it.

TLDR: fun room with decent puzzles and a great atmosphere. I was a bit worried when I saw this was a smaller room, but wanted to try it since Raven Chase has yet to put out a bad room, it actually turned out to be very fun with plenty of clues. (For a group of 4, all with escape room experience) Gameplay: the gameplay was very fun. While none of the clues heavily stood out, they were all still fun to solve. The four of us didnβt get caught up too much, and we had about 10 minutes to spare so there was enough to do in the small room and was happy with how dense it was. Other reviews have mentioned this but I will also agree with there being one clue that was very vague on how you were supposed to figure it out. It was an awesome idea, but definitely a small nudge somewhere to help would have been nice. Atmosphere: raven Chase has always thrived in this category. All there rooms (for the most part) make you feel like youβre in whatever theme itβs supposed to be and this is no different. You step in it feels like an arcade you went to as a kid at a bowling alley or movie theater. From the retro carpeting, to all the arcade cabinets, to the music playing in the background, it was definitely a cool room to be in. Also, a big plus that all of the clues revolves around the retro theme, with a very cool ending that we were all talking about afterwards.

Nostalgic but novel at the same time. Fun gameplay. We would classify the challenge as on the easier side, we finished with time to spare. The puzzles were not too hard, but they were fun. There were real arcade machines in the room. Disability? involves small scale climbing by one person in your party
The gameplay was fun and interactive. It was on the easier side. there were novel puzzles and themed puzzles, nostalgic.
There was real arcade machines in the room that we could enjoy with our remaining time

Involves small scale climbing, only one person had to perform this
One person had to listen to something, one person had to perform small scale climbing, only one game was based on colors but they were everyday colors and not hues

6.5/10 The atmosphere in Retro Replay really makes you feel as if you are stuck in an arcade in the 80s. They do a terrific job with the music, lighting, and props to make this feel as realistic as possible. Although the immersion was great, we were expecting a bit more with this game knowing how good the rest of the rooms are when it comes to the Ravenchase company. The puzzles went super well with the theme of the room, but they were all just a bit basic with nothing that really stood out and βWOWβdβ us. Donβt get it wrong, this is still a good game, but we would suggest playing the other rooms here first before playing Retro Replay.

I actually loved this room. This one is going up there in my top escape rooms of all time. As a nerd and escape room enthusiast, this room checked all the boxes. The atmosphere was definitely nerdy enough, the puzzles were great and the gameplay flowed well, and it had plenty of fun Easter eggs.

This was a fantastic escape room! Immersive, nostalgic, thought-provoking, exciting. I played in a group of 2, and I felt that was a good number. The puzzles are all so cool, that my teammate and I both wanted to be a part of solving each one - and we still had plenty of time left! The set is amazing and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. I enjoyed this game more than Supervillains, which I played directly before. This is a must-do!

We were very optimistic and eager about this newly released game. The theme, design, and premise all were exciting. The game started strong but by midway, frustration began to brew among our crew. Some puzzles were very easy while others were unnecessarily vague and complicated. The ending was fun!
This game was fun but not the best weβve experienced. The beginning was strong, but later puzzles were confusing and unnecessarily vague.
Theme was fun and unique!

It was a mixture of both. Some of the mechanical elements were disappointing. Some of the high tech elements were not so obvious.

It may not have been βbrokenβ but one of the 80s specific props you use for a puzzle definitely needed explaining. All 3 of us tried using this item we were familiar with + hints (multiple) and still it took plenty of time.
