Hannibal [prev.Fright Night]

I enjoyed the wide-variety of puzzles used in this space and I appreciated the non-linear aspects of the last half of the room. It also progressed nicely from easier puzzles to start to more challenging by the end. Thematically and prop-wise it’s very similar to Exorcist (classic haunted house props) but has less jump scares. Tech all worked and puzzles made sense. Narrative is a little loose/basic (you’re trapped and must escape or else you’ll be the next victim!!!) but if you’re here for puzzles it’s just fine =). A good, serviceable room compared to downtown Toronto rooms.

The room was not that fun, and had 1 or 2 puzzles that were cool, but other than that my boyfriend and I didn’t care for it as much. Because of the experience with that single room, we don’t care to try any of the other rooms here. It had a nice horror factor to it, but it was not scary or spooky in the slightest. Our lamp was broken and so was another puzzle in the game that prevented us from escaping on time.

Great room! Creepy and spooky, great theme, great puzzles. The third room is the hardest just by the sheer amount of puzzles. We were two people but we would have gotten out if we had more people. It was a well done room, puzzles weren’t linear but still made sense. Very immersive and a good time!!

The puzzles were honestly pretty simple. The reason we took so long was because we did one step incorrectly and got stuck way too long. I will say that it should have been explained better. Overall my big gripe with this is that it had similar puzzles and no real variety. It's supposed to be a hard game but honestly if we hadn't made that mistake we wouldn't have needed the hint book. Also one part of the last puzzle wasn't explained well. I will say it's an okay room but I preferred the exorcist room they have.

Our experience was good. The staff was really nice. The room has some mechanics that were quite finicky and we had to use a hint even though the answer was correct. However fun immersive room. Not too scary at all. I enjoyed how there were multiple puzzles so our group of 5 could divide and conquer !
