The puzzles independently were fine but as an experience as a whole I didn’t really enjoy it.  It’s an escape cube room, primarily in one room, so it’s already not as fun compared to normal rooms for me. And the puzzles themselves were either basic/uninteresting or very repetitive in style.   I think the puzzle box in their magic room pulled off utilizing the space and having more varied puzzles than this one.

Here’s the problem: Everything about this room and this experience would have been really good, if it wasn’t for our hint giver. The staff are very nice, don’t get me wrong, but there’s a math equation in here we wasted 20+ minutes on because I specifically asked with the one hint we used: ‘is this straight across or Bedmas/Pemdas rules?’ And I was told the opposite of what we needed to do (straight across).

We ended up going back to the drawing board several times trying to get a different equation, until finally we just said ‘you know what, let’s try it with BEDMAS rules’ and guess what? It worked. Sure, maybe we should have just tried it different earlier, but there were time penalties if we put the wrong numbers in so we really tried to not put too many equations in if we didn’t feel confident. I wish had the hint giver not fully understood the question I asked that she had followed up, but instead she gave us wrong info which was the difference of us escaping the room and not in a very big way, which is a very very frustrating feeling to leave with.

Also we arrived to our booking 10 minutes early and did not get to start our room for over 20 minutes. Maybe we were there during a busy time but it was a lot of twiddling our thumbs waiting to start.
