You know that famous saying – YOLO – You Only Live Once? Well that’s not actually true. The truth is, you only die once. You’re living everyday. But are you really living? You wake up. Eat. Work. Sleep then repeat this over and over and over again every sad day of your existence until the day you die. Is this what you call life? No. But the team at ZEN are here to help! You start by entering an all white room and you have 60 minutes to bring the joy and colour back to everything and everyone around you.

Completed with my partner. I really wanted to like it, but due to (we believe) some tech issues, not everything happened as soon as we completed certain puzzles. Here’s my opinion: - mostly linear with some multi linear puzzles. - Outside knowledge needed? e.g. Math, English specific knowledge etc… NO 1. Hints system: 3/5 Our games-master was nice enough to nudge us in the right direction at the beginning, as we weren’t sure what puzzle to start on and throughout if we seemed really stuck. 2. Immersion: 5/5 The idea of the room and general immersion was novel & great! You enter into darkness and then the world is revealed to you, which definitely helped to transport you to the world they’ve built. 3. Build quality: 3/5 Mostly lots of wear and tear or broken. Some items were coming off so it was hard to know its orientation or some technical delays caused confusion as we wouldn’t get our next item etc. 4. Story flow: 3/5 There was a very basic flow to the story but some moments didn’t make sense. 5. Puzzle quality: 2/5 Not enough basic signposting and at times it’s hard to know which lock your answer goes to. Some puzzles don’t intuitively lead you to the next step. 6. Games mastering: 3/5 customer service GM interaction etc Hint wise I believe the games master was aware when to help. But we weren’t informed of where to place our items, bathrooms and basic things like that.
Not scary
There’s a moment of pitch black darkness but no jump scares etc.
