Find the Inheritance The 1800s California gold rush was a time when just about anyone could get lucky with a fortune. No one knew this better than your recently deceased relative, Clyde Hamilton. Though he’s since passed, the prospector left behind quite a pretty penny in gold. As his surviving next of kin, he’s offered you a chance to claim the gold fortune as an inheritance for yourself…if you can find it! You’ve only got 60 minutes to get into Clyde’s cabin and take the gold stash before news of the fortune reaches other greedy ears in town…

Fairly straightforward room with some unique skill-based puzzles that might be frustrating. Otherwise, excellent room with fun puzzles and a cool immersive set.
Flow was pretty good. Some of the puzzles required a certain level of skill that made it frustrating to progress especially if you don’t like getting clues.
Set design was very immersive and impressive and lended themselves to the puzzles well. No special effects that amazed me, and I thought some props weren’t used in the way I hoped but otherwise very good.
GM was amazing, very friendly.

On the positive - The staff were great and very accommodating with a late comer. Also the room was a hit with a newbie player! (their target audience) On the negative - As an enthusiast the room was lackluster and exactly what I would expect from a chain location with a budget for set design and is just ok with lazy puzzles. The room was filled with four digit locks and key padlocks with no in-game clues as to which combination/key goes with which lock. There was also a fickle skill based game which was just a time suck. I’m not a fan of carnival games in a gold mine.

This was a very fun game! The props were very detailed and in tip-top condition. The puzzles were very novel for us - many were tough but not impossible. We played with three adults with 9, 7, and 6 prior games experience (only half of them successes). The GM allows unlimited hints but we were trying hard to avoid hints. However, we eventually had to ask for three hints (two on the same task). This would be a fun game for the whole family, although three to four players is probably optimal because of space. We are eager to return to try another room soon!
The story was fun and the puzzles / tasks were all in theme. There were several puzzles I have never encountered but were super-fun.
The set design was authentic and in excellent condition.
The staff was very welcoming and wrote us a sweet note at the end to take home.

The decorations were like new and very authentic. The puzzles / tasks were completely in theme.
Everything was in theme and many puzzles / tasks were novel for me (my 8th game).
Hard
We had to ask for three hints (two on the same task) but the GM allows unlimited hints with no penalty.
Mechanical
Everything was very hands-on.

I think players will feel squished in the room if you have too many players.

The theme, decorations, and puzzles were very family-friendly. Kids would probably get a big kick out of the gold mine idea.

There were a few puzzles that involved color. Crawling is also involved (although I think there is a way around the crawl.) There was also a narrow area that might be tough for a wheelchair.

We took the trolley from the La Jolla / UTC area and the trip was extremely easy. There was a Padres double header at the same time as our game so we did not want to search for parking. But there are at least two pay lots nearby that I could see.

One of the best escape room experiences we've ever had! The staff was incredible, and the manager "T" is super friendly. Our GM was Jacob (the best), and he and T genuinely did everything they could to make sure we had the best time possible. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary, and we found a gift from them in the last room with a personal note congratulating us! The room was a lot of fun with a good mix of tech and mechanical, and everything worked without any issues. Again, T and Jacob went above and beyond. 100% recommend this place to everyone.

The room was very cool. There were fun challenges that I have never seen in an escape room before. The thing that stood out the most was their customer service. They wanted to make sure we had the best time we could possibly have. I can’t wait to try their other games. One thing I will say, the parking is a nightmare so arrive early and be prepared to walk a couple blocks.
