A new ‘Red Eye’ experience by Entered that will take place on a high-profile location; a classical, worn and desolate train shunting shed! This horror game won’t feature an intimate or personal story, but provide a small glimpse into a macabre world for you to discover. And maybe the title of this new project already provides more info than you think?

“Gricers” drops you into the action of a real-life video game — with heart-stopping action, intense actor interactions, and plenty of main character energy. Make sure you know what you’re getting into, then, if it’s your thing, do anything to go.

We were a group of five coming from different parts of the Netherlands and Belgium, and I drove nearly three hours from Amsterdam to experience The Demise of the Gricers—and it was absolutely worth it. Starting at 10:00 and finishing around 14:10, this was a four-hour rollercoaster of emotions & intensity. The experience was on another level, thanks to the phenomenal actors, real train-based environments, stunning lighting, and powerful sound effects. It was physically demanding, immersive, and at times genuinely scary. While the experience leaned heavily toward immersion and storytelling, there was still a nice balance with puzzling elements, ensuring that it wasn’t just about the atmosphere but also about engaging challenges. The actors played a huge role in making the journey unforgettable, delivering multiple wow moments throughout. By the time we finished, none of us realized how much time had passed. Wrapping up with a relaxed chat while taking off our gear was a great touch, and the team even offered us water, which was much appreciated. An absolute must for those looking for a high-intensity, next-level escape adventure!
Unique in every way possible.
Outstanding environment, sound effects & lighting. Very carefully crafted.
GM treated us incredibly well giving us water and answering all our questions. Also narrated their percepción of the experience.

This is such a unique and wildly creative experience it would feel wrong to give it anything less than a heart. But I didn’t walk out fully in love with it, and I almost entirely blame myself for not being more willing to take risks and strike out on my own to really poke and prod at the limits of the game. Generally I prefer to know as little as possible before going into an experience BUT if you want to make the most out of it you really should know the following: It is not an escape room. There is some small amount of puzzling but the core game mechanic is essentially putting you in an extreme game of hide and seek. It is a physically demanding experience. More than any escape room I’ve done. Crawling, running, and climbing is integral and you will be doing it constantly. The ability to easily and confidently step up much higher than your average stair height is crucial. TAKE RISKS (with the game play, not your physical safety) I can’t emphasize this enough. Don’t be afraid to get caught. Push yourself and the boundaries of the game. Now that I know what this whole thing is and how to navigate it, I would LOVE to play again.

VERY IMPORTANT: This game is physically dangerous. I would say it is roughly as dangerous as skateboarding or downhill skiing. That's not an intolerable level of physical hazard for a leisure activity-- but it is substantially more dangerous than a well-run escape room. Gricers offers many of the same pleasures of a good escape room-- it's an exciting story-driven challenge in a fully immersive environment. I'm not surprised it's been embraced by the escape room community, but I worry that leads to people diving into it with inaccurate expectations around risk. If you are enough of an escape room enthusiast to be using Morty, you have probably skimmed through or ignored numerous overwrought safety warnings for escape rooms. Do NOT ignore the safety warning that comes with Gricers! If you do choose to play, I encourage you to read the Room Escape Artist's review first. It has some useful information that will help you play more safely (although, again, still with a skiing-level of risk.)

Spooky
I'm answering this for myself. I wasn't scared at all-- I found it more suspenseful than scary. For me, it was more like a particular intense game of hide-and-seek than a horror experience. That said, at least one of my teammates was utterly terrified.

Not accessible for most physical impairments. You have to be able to crawl and climb. Probably not accessible for people with larger than average body sizes-- you have to squeeze through some tight spaces. Not accessible for people with vision impairments. You need to be able to see reasonably well in cluttered, dim, potentially dangerous environments. Possibly inaccessible for people with hearing impairments. One ear will need to have a headphone (possibly requiring the removal of your hearing aid) and the other ear will need hear quiet voices in a noisy environment. I have a fairly minor hearing impairment and I was OK-- but if your impairment is greater than mine, you might struggle.

I was very scared before playing this one. I hate horror and never wanted to play a horror themed room. This room exceeded al my expectations. If anyone is very scared like me, just play it! They create an amazing atmosphere and know how to be scary without just bombarding you with jump scares. The decor, story and gameplay is out of this world. I don’t want to spoil anything, so just go play it for yourself! And if you do, do the long experience. You want to do the whole thing in one go.

This escape room experience stands out from traditional and other horror escape games, offering an intense, immersive horror scenario, which includes a unique element that can't be mentioned without spoilers. From the beginning, you dive into a well-thought-out game world with impressive atmosphere and attention to detail. The tutorial is beautifully designed and helps players understand the game mechanics. The team places great emphasis on safety due to the game's inherent risks, reinforced by helmets and knee pads. The game is very thrilling and horror-heavy, with outstanding acting performances. We played the short version, which was incredibly scary and entertaining at the same time. The extended version would have been even more interesting to continue the story. Overall, the difficulty level is high despite fewer puzzles due to more physical activity, and it is highly recommended for those who prefer a very unique horror escape adventure.

Take care if you’re considering booking this one. It’s physical to the point of being actively dangerous. We had to quit this game in the first ten minutes because I walked straight out of a dimly lit rail car and fell four feet onto concrete. There was a time pressure mechanic that makes you want to move quickly in an unsafe environment. The rest of the game I cannot speak to.

Without a doubt the craziest immersive experience of my life!!! As specified in the confirmation email, it is not an escape game, nor an immersive experience like we are used to seeing, it is more the equivalent of an IRL video game. Equipped with several electronic gadgets that allow a lot of actions throughout the experience, the adventure begins with us released into nature in search of the place where the magic will work, or should I say the terror in the face of the mysterious gricers ( these train fanatics) 😨 We discover a place whose size and soundscape are breathtaking, the immersion is immediate and we must now carry out missions as a team but... not always, the map is so big that it is easy to get lost. lose following a chase! Prepare to flirt with fear, the atmosphere is very intense and my heart rate remembers it. We are warned from the start, if one of the players gets caught, it's the end for them. Which adds significant additional pressure. Quite sporty, you don't have to be afraid of getting dirty, of crawling, of climbing, of sneaking (well, we are very well equipped for all these actions) We come out of there totally destabilized as the experience is so intense. Everyone is living their own story, the debriefing between players is incredible because we understand who was where and with whom and who did what at the same time. I would replay this adventure with great pleasure because each experience is unique depending on the paths taken and the people with whom you play it. Bravo to the creator who opened up a new field of possibilities in the field of entertainment and immersive, it was exceptional.
“Incredible and unique mechanics make Demise of the Gricers an unforgettable experience.“
