The town of Crystal Cove and the surrounding areas are being terrorized by monsters and ghosts. The local Baroness Maria Richman has gone missing and it is suspected that the ghost sightings have something to do with it! Tasked with solving the crime, you arrive at the same conclusion as Mystery Incorporated. Unfortunately when you get to the Spooky Castle, Mystery Incorporated get locked out, at the same time as you get locked in! You soon realize that Mystery Incorporated are able to help by communicating clues via magic portraits inside the Castle. Discovering a secret Dungeon and Monster Lab in the Castle, you realize this is where the evil is being created and set about solving the crime. You come to the conclusion that the person responsible almost certainly works in the Castle - but who could it be as there are several suspects?

I have done 2 Escapology rooms (in San Diego and Orland Park, IL) and you get a consistently solid experience at each location. Staff was very friendly and helpful in OP. Scooby Doo was a really fun room. We had a group of 5 (1 ER newbie), and everyone contributed and had a great time. Puzzles were logical, but some were pretty tricky. I liked that there were not too many locks in this room and more puzzles that open/release when you have objects in the correct manner. We got off to a quick/efficient start so early on I feared the room may be too easy, but as we moved through the next rooms, puzzles were more challenging. Theme of Scooby Doo brought me back to my childhood. Game had the same Mystery Inc. theme but we were the team figuring out “who done it”. Cool sets and just really good energy in this room. Highly recommend!

I really liked the theme of this room, and the puzzles all felt intuitive. I also liked that there was a sense of progress in terms of what we were collecting, and there were some creative puzzles. My only two minor complaints were that a few things didn't work smoothly and needed someone to come in (we were just unlucky), and I felt like the theme could have really lent itself to the story being more a part of the actual progression of the room. There are characters and a whodunit that don't feel as integrated as they could have been. But the Scooby Doo theme lent to an awesome atmosphere

Took 2 kids, a husband, and a father in law (for his first room), we had a great time. The theme was of course fantastic but it was still a challenging room.

Jinkies! What a fun room! Filled with authentic cartoonish set pieces and the real voice actors, the Scooby Doo room is a must-go for fans (like me!) and it’s also an excellent choice for first-timers and families. Despite the name, it’s not spooky, and everything is designed more around the aesthetic of the classic cartoon. Although the puzzles are actually surprisingly on the trickier side, which I consider a good thing, there are full text tutorials on how to approach each puzzle. It kinda trivializes the puzzles for enthusiasts, but for beginners, it’s very helpful! Some puzzles were finicky and didn’t seem to work despite us having the right answer, which is my only major complaint. But zoinks, I had a lot of fun and was grinning the whole time, finding secrets and getting my fill of Scooby Snacks! Our group of 2 managed to solve the mystery with time to spare! And they would have gotten away with it, if it weren’t for us meddling escape roomers!

My first Scooby Doo themed room! It was really fun and cute! We were a bit “worried” it might be “too easy,” but nope, it still had moments where we felt genuinely challenged! (Ruh roh!) Molly and Jordan were awesome staff/game masters, and it’s cool you get a commemorative rubber bracelet with every room you complete! We’ll be back for more!

Overall it was a fun game. If you are a fan of scooby-doo then you have to play this game. The game was pretty linear, so big groups might find themselves with people standing around. Despite this being a game based on a cartoon I would say that it is not for young children. The game play will be too difficult for them to enjoy. Although I think escapology now has a kid friendly version of this game with less difficult puzzles.
