Fun and cute escape room. Definitely great for a younger audience. Our game master Indira was an amazing help and made the experience very enjoyable.

The first part of the room is beautiful unfortunately itβs the highlight of the experience. The flow of the puzzles really donβt make sense and it becomes very apparent at the end of the experience.
The last room really didnβt flow well and didnβt make sense

The room: We were a group of 4 who did the Smurfs escape room. Despite being adults in a room intended for kids, we enjoyed it. The construction was phenomenal, to the point of being as good as a movie set! There was no timer, though we did ask for and receive 15 min-interval reminders. The tasks were easy, but fun. I would recommend this one, though there was one technical glitch. Customer service: Our host, Ashleigh, was standoffish and not a good fit for this industry. She was unenthusiastic, unlike other hosts who usually are super excited about escape rooms. She gave us unsolicited hints, which we didn't appreciate. Maybe she was having a bad day, but it put a damper on things. Location: The parking cost $9 and there was no validation, which is an HHLA issue. There is no bathroom at the escape room, so you have to go to a general mall bathroom. The location is clean and safe, though a bit bare. This was my second escape room at this location, but I've done other 60Out rooms. As I've said before, MAZE is friendlier and cheaper. But I come back for the concepts & to hang out with friends.

Cute! We had a fun time visiting Smurf village. The decor really made this room, lighthearted and whimsical. Definitely pay attention to the story. Starts linear but branches out towards the end. Iβm not a fan of some of the puzzles, but overall we had a good time! π
Easier side, both linear and multilinear at times
Cute!
Staff was nice! Understanding and accommodating for our group

Not a super large room. Linear for the first half

Great for kids, assuming you can focus them on the audio prompts, which really guide you through. Optional: Watch an old episode of The Smurfs before, to orient them in this world: Gargamel, Azreal, Papa Smurf, and the various vocation-related Smurfs. Really nice use of technology and a beautiful set.

Very immersive and cute. Such an adorable and fun game. Our game master was alright but the game was definitely worth the game

After doing over 100 rooms, i feel like theyβre now judged on justification of pricing. For $78/person for 2 of us to play, this room was 100% not worth the price. The entire room was so warm, we were sweating the whole time. Our GM wanted us in and out, one of those very awkward, hi welcome to the room, push you in the room, and straight away tells you bye as soon as you finish, but i wanted a picture with the smurf!π© The room itself wasnβt horrible, but it was a pretty basic room, the same decorations most places have in whimsical themed rooms, the only thing that made it more special was the smurfs theme and the voices. The puzzles were mid tier, nothing too extravagant, and for the price a lot of things didnβt work. As far as game flow, it was pretty horrible, there were a few puzzles once the GM helped us understand, thought to ourselves βwe would have never thought of doing that.β And the other puzzles were pretty much just laid out in plain site, we didnβt even realize weβd completed 4 puzzles we hadnβt been told to do yet, until they started telling us to do it and we were like βoh? Ok thats done. I guess.β Also there was no music, which made me sad. Again the review isnβt to say the room was bad, we did have fun, but definitely does not live up to what you pay to play. Theres cheaper rooms with WAY better quality, better puzzles and overall a better experience!
Itβs a narrated room, so itβs supposed to be linear. But the way the game play is set up, you end up with a bunch of tools you didnβt need yet and end up doing things all out of order, not on purpose, but because it doesnβt set you up for the narration play correctly, and things are just laying around everywhere. Theres also a few puzzles that make no sense, and have no indication of what you were supposed to do, so be prepared to walk around aimlessly trying to figure it out.
It was cute, but it really wasnβt anything super amazing. I expected more for the price. It seemed pretty basic to your typical whimsical room that a lot of escape rooms have. Things were also falling apart, or pretty cheaply just thrown around. There were pieces of flowers just falling apart, and bundles of fake flowers just tossed around, made the room feel cheap.
It wasnt a horrible experience with the GM, but it did feel super rushed. There was no conversation, not really welcoming, didnt give us a lot of information going into the room, pretty much just pushed us in and said goodluck π.. we didnt even know when to walk in the room, just opened the door and we were like uhhhh do we go?! Then on the way out as soon as we escaped just got told to have a goodnight. I dont expect hour long conversations, but at leeast asking if we want a picture with the photo op wouldve been cool. Can you tell i really wanted a picture with the smurf ππ
I mean its smurfs, it was nostalgic. Getting to be apart of a tv show you grew up on was fun. It felt interactive since it was mainly narration play. The story was clear since you were being talked to pretty much the whole time.
Medium
I wouldnβt say it was hard because of the puzzles being complicated. It was more so hard because some puzzles just didnβt make sense. Somethings were extremely easy, and the things that werent, were either broken or didnβt make sense.
High tech
There were no physical locks, most of it was technical.

There is 1 part that required a lot of activity to complete, im sure it would be easier with more people, you wouldnt have to jump around as much. And only 2-3 players in your group would have to do it.

We played at 10 pm soo im sure parking was easier then. Its the middle of LA so plan for parking to be difficult lol. Its also a paid parking structure, so be prepared to pay for parking.

It was a nice set up but way over priced. We were rushed out because of huge party before and after us that at one point the game master was just giving us hints even though our time wasnβt even up.
