It's the golden age of Hollywood, and the Magic Mansion is "the" place to be for anyone who's anyone in showbiz. Here only the elite and invited guests can see the world's best illusionists perform the most amazing magic since Houdini. Shockingly, during a performance of his famous Buzz Saw illusion, The Great Nivek, a student and friend of the late great Houdini himself, tragically succumbed to a horrific accident. Police don't think this was an accident. They believe there may have been sabotage, and Peter Zabar, ex-magician, and owner of the Mansion is their number one suspect. They need your team to help solve this case. Citng that he was friends with Nivek and would have no reason to take his dear friend's life, Zabar agreed to re-open the club for further investgation. You must be clever as Zabar is a master of decepon. He has turned his magic parlor of trickery into a menagerie of different paths where illusion and reality blur. This investgation is only for expert detectives, with a supreme sense of observation, that can think outside of the box, carefully read between the lines, and be quick. Keep on track, and keep track of time, as you explore 4 completely different rooms within the Mansion You have 90 minutes to get into, and investigate the entire club, collect 3 pieces of evidence, and find a motive. Stop this maniac magician from make you disappear...forever.

Solid 90 minute room. The story length is good, lots of good puzzles and challenges. Several with some clever extra steps. Really great production value. Great set and everything worked well. Just one small issue with some coloring that they likely fixed after we pointed it out.

It has some parallel puzzles so you could do it with more, I just always prefer 2 or 3 people

This is a good game that has potential to be great. An A level game that trips over itself, throwing it into a mediocre, B category. The rooms were beautiful. A lot of time and effort were put into making these rooms look the part. There were lots of prop use and high tech clues/locks. Unfortunately, the game had many issues with this tech. On four separate occasions the mechanisms didn’t work and the gamemaster had to stop the game and physically make it work. That really pulled us out of the game. The ending also fell flat. They had an opportunity to end it really beautifully but missed the mark. This could be an easy fix though. The biggest issue for us though is that the room is full of red herrings, things designed to waste your time and trick you into thinking it’s part of the game. The game master confirmed this afterwards. I’m not sure why companies do this…anyone who’s played lots of rooms hates red herrings. Again, beautiful escape room, lots of cool clues. Could have been in my top 20 (I’ve played hundreds), but it trips over itself. This game could be improved greatly just by making sure everything works and removing the red herrings.
Would have even great if things worked properly
