Prepare for a breathtaking immersive encounter with the beautiful aspects of mother nature, but beware of her wrath… Nature, tired of being used, limited, and synthesized; has consumed the Greenhouse and mutated into a wrathful, horrifying freak of nature. Trees talk, plants eat people, and insects are larger than you’ve ever imagined. Tread carefully, nature’s wisdom becomes deadly when she becomes conscious! The science hungry botanist discovered that, the hard way. If you dare to visit the Greenhouse, you may experience beauty like you’ve never seen… But is it worth your life? Think twice before journeying into NATURE’S REVENGE! Chop Shop In a dilapidated and shabby one-stop-shop, horrifying cannibals await! Featuring a Butcher + Repair Shop, Junkyard, and something called The Mangler; this “General Store” was booming and thriving back in the 60’s & 70’s. Somewhere down the line, this family “business” lost its way… Now, locals call it the CHOP SHOP, which no one dares to enter! If you find yourself near the Chop Shop, you should definitely run! But, it’s probably too late… These maniacal, aggressive, and smelly cannibals are not interested in negotiating. Their only concerns are to capture and prepare their next “meal”, and to ensure that their killing tools are sharp and operational. As a final word of warning: These cannibals are BRUTAL, MERCILESS, and down-right DISGUSTING! BEWARE of THE CHOP SHOP! Nightmare Factory Portal Dr. Death and his henchmen have been working very hard on a MAJOR UPGRADE to his iconic Nightmare Factory and the queue line! Become a part of his evil plans as you’re immersed in this eerie, industrial workshop. Plus! Now look, I know this was during COVID so the attraction was heavily vetted to protect both attendees and haunt employees. The problem is that even though I paid for what I assume was a heavily discounted VIP ticket it still was not worth my money or time. First, after they scanned your ticket, you got ushered into a line to be slowly released down in groups to the actual haunt wait area so everyone would still be 6ft apart from each other. This was IMMEDITELY FORGOTTEN once you got to the waiting area as the lines were not organized in any way and people were everywhere and on top of each other. Secondly , as part of the VIP package you got two free add-ons from the haunt, of which my group chose chose Ax Throwing and their 5 minute escape room. Ax throwing was ax throwing - fine but the cages rattle more then I would have liked. The escape room was TERRIBLE. First, the line for this room was MASSIVE and no one was social distancing in this line either. When my group finally got to the front we were told we did not have 5 minutes, but in fact we had 3 MINUTES because they were so busy. The person who I assume was suppose to be the GM told us that not only could we not get any hints but the only info we were to get was one vague sentence about how to solve the room. Once inside the room was so dark you could barely see anything and by the time you finally got your bearings to figure out how to solve the room time had run out. THIS ROOM WAS AN ADDITIONAL $15 IF YOU DID NOT HAVE THE VIP PACKAGE. I would have been LIVID if I had paid that much for that experience. Finally the haunt portion of the attraction was just only okay. Even taking into consideration that COVID forced a heavy decrease in scare actors and interactive elements there was still nothing so spectacular that you couldn't have found in another haunt. VIP also allowed for us to enter in a separate line which was nice but you did eventually have to enter with a group of people so it wasn't like we even got to walk with just our group. If you're going here, go during the week and buy a cheap ticket, either after the main season or from a discount book. DO NOT DO THE VIP AS IT IS NOT WORTH IT.

I love Lake Hickory Haunts! I’ve been to multiple haunted attractions over the years and this is by far my favorite. It’s just so immersive and so much fun!
Scary
I love this haunt! The alien section in particular used to terrify me.
The atmosphere is super immersive all of the way from the entrance through the haunt.
