Mystery Manor

An amazing room. Great immersion and design of the rooms. Nothing to hate, everything to love.

We had a blast with this room! We played with just 2 players & escaped. Great theming & details, and solid clues to help us figure things out if we got stuck. This is one of their “easier” rooms but definitely provided a good level of challenge in our opinion. We can’t wait to try other rooms here!

This was our first game of Sixty to Escape: Schaumburg's offerings as we ran the gauntlet. A good start and a fun time! Also, the best rooms in Chicago are actually outside of the city proper. This was about a 45 minute drive from downtown to Sixty to Escape (which is located in the Woodland Mall FYI), but totally worth it! Taking place in a haunted house, you need to complete the tasks so some long departed folks can finally get their rest. It took us a little bit in the beginning to get our brains turned on, the flow was solid with intuitive logical puzzles. Not a lot of mechanical locks, which was appreciated. As with all their games, their was an actual satisfying ending (and not just the gamemaster walking in to tell you "congratulations, you did it!") which helped the experience. And reading many of the reviews, this is considered one of their easiest rooms (which is why we scheduled it first). That much was true, but it certainly wasn't a cakewalk either. (If you can't do them all), come to Sixty to Escape: Schaumburg for Cheesie's and Lockbuster & if you can, throw in Arctic and Magic Heist. I'm ONLY putting this one lower because of it being an easier game and the others are not to be missed!

Always such a great time at 60! This room was so cool. Very fun and flowed great. Puzzles were on the easy side, online says 6/10 and would agree.

An easier manor game. Cool story beats delivered by a unique character. Smaller, good for beginners. Solid puzzling and good use of space. Slightly spooky but nothing overwhelming.

Great game with good puzzle flow that immersed you into the story.

In terms of puzzles, this is the easiest game at this location. Our little trio was super casual going through the experience, but we spent 10 minutes being stupid (missing something right in front of our faces). 😂 While it's a haunted mansion, the vibes were very friendly, which I would liken to Disney's Haunted Mansion. I enjoyed the ambient music, which I found to be a lot more fun and entertaining instead of spooky. All the games at this company have great sets and their puzzles are integrated well. For Mystery Manor in particular, I enjoyed all the areas the areas that opened up as we progressed.

Since this is one of their easier games, my 18yo son and I decided to do it as a team of 2 (usually my husband and 15yo son are also with us). This room is PERFECT for 2 experienced players. We escaped with 25 min left and didn’t use any clues. The theming is AWESOME. The game flowed so smoothly with lots of fun reveals. Even though it was easier this is one of my favorite rooms at 60 to escape and we have played almost all of them at Schaumburg and Gurnee. Recommend!!
