One of the better, beautifully realized “cabin in the woods” style rooms we’ve played. Mostly good flow and very fun puzzles, with only a few minor hiccups and featuring fantastic set design (and a surprisingly BIG buildout). It’s a very inspired take on an old trope.
The interior is amazingly constructed, apparently having been made with actual parts of its creator’s original home (upon which the build itself is based). It shows, given the fact everything felt very real, It’s definitely one of the highlights of the experience, and the work is commendable. Taking into account the budgetary and structural limitations most any escape room experience faces, it does a fantastic job of establishing atmosphere and a sense of place within those constraints.
Gameplay and flow are mostly good, slightly hampered by a few puzzles that feature some nonsensical, weird logical jumps that just don’t connect, but the rest are very doable and not really frustrating at all. There are one or two good surprises that will have your group smile with delight. Overall, it’s a good time, and worth checking out!
