“Welcome, dear sinners. My name is Dante, a connoisseur of transgressions, a maestro of atonement. You’ve committed sins and have arrived here, into my world, not by chance but by divine reckoning. In this dark prison, you’ll be tried for your sins, and you shall face the grim realities of your past. Each one of you carries the burden of guilt, each has a story, a sin, that tethers you to your mortal existence. But despair not, for this is not an end… but a chance at redemption. If you succeed in the trials that await you, if you can confront your sins and overcome them, you shall earn your freedom. If you fail…then eternal torment awaits.”

This probably wasn’t the ideal room to try solo, as you start the game divided, and the GM hadn’t been prepped by management on how to handle this…this made the beginning a bit of a cluster. Fun theme, though…main downsides were the dim lighting and plethora of metal locks…these are a disastrous combination. I definitely took longer than an hour to get out, but the GM padded my time since I was playing solo, so not sure whether to call this a win or not.
No
Hard
Mostly due to the dim lighting and plethora of numeric locks
Mechanical

You start split up, so I recommend against attempting this solo
Spooky

No
No
Although there is “staff member pounding on door to jump scare you” at several points
Somewhat
Only giving this a “somewhat” due to bags over head and someone being chained up at the onset
I don’t know how people were meant to see the metal tumbler locks without a light source; I had to ask to use the light on my phone, and even then it was difficult to open locks when I had the correct code verified. Struggling to see is not fun…I ran into the same issue with Riddled last year, to the point the GM had to come in and open a lock for me. Metal locks and dim lighting are a horrible combo.

The Panic Room doing what it does best- decent rooms with fun and engaging puzzles. I’m not a fan of hoods but this was manageable. The theming was fun and the design was awesome.

A solid room with fine puzzles and a fairly generic serial-killer theme. It's not worth making a trip out to Gravesend just to play this one, but if you're there, it's a solid addition to a day of escaping.
The setting was a solid, if generic, serial killer's lair.
Spooky
No jump scares and no real sense if danger, but a gory torture-and-murder theme.

Our host was excellent, the room was very well made, well timed out, none of the puzzles were too difficult or non sensical.
