289 escape rooms
Rating: 3.5/5 - Their oldest, least impressive room but still good Pros: ➕ The set looks great, decorated floor to ceiling with realistic feeling materials (real metal bars) and textures, everything was weathered appropriately to look grungy. ➕ Enjoyable split start requiring teamwork ➕ Fun ending ➕ Multiple rooms to explore, they still managed to have rooms with high, finished ceilings just because they could ➕ Mix of mechanical locks and custom tech ➕ Audio and lighting effects added to the immersion ➕ Darkness wasn't really an issue, but they provided 2 bright, large flashlights for the team ➕ GM was friendly and helpful Room for improvement: ➖ Puzzles were fine but could've been better, some weren't the most intuitive for us ➖ No really big "wow" moments like some of their other rooms. The set also wasn't as impressive or unique since prison themes are overdone at this point. ➖ I wish the hints were delivered via a character like in their other rooms instead of the GM talking to us over the speakers ➖ Narrative was lacking and forgettable We played as a team of 5 enthusiasts and finished with plenty of time to spare. Make sure you are not afraid to ask for hints, also tell the game master to nudge you when you get behind. This might be their easiest game but I still wouldn't consider it easy. If you only skip one room, it should be this one. My ranking of all 8 rooms here: 1. Cutthroat Cavern ❤️ 2. Tomb of Anubis ❤️ 3. Spellbound ❤️ 4. Disappearance of Flight 13 ❤️ 5. The Asylum ❤️ 6. The Collector 👍 7. Agent 13 👍 8. Death Row👍
