38 escape rooms
This was our 38th Escape Room, and we escaped with about 8 minutes remaining with two participants. Reading the description on this rooms' website, the level of gore is not accurately conveyed. The props are amazing and their commitment to the horror theme is very evident. It is grotesque to say the least, moreso than any other horror-themed room we have visited. This room has so much potential, but all things considered, the experience fell short for us. The parking situation is practically non-existent. When you approach the very cool looking warehouse, you have to press a ring doorbell and wait for an attedant. When we asked to use the restroom, we were directed to a port-a-potty in the parking lot. The lobby had a strong scent of litter boxes and urine - of you have sensitivity to cats this venue may irritate or allergies. There is no warning of this on their website. The lobby is very cool and aesthetically decorated. Throughout the game, our Game Master Mia and did an amazing job of keeping us on pace and directing us when puzzles were misinterpreted or malfunctioned... Which happened a lot. One item in the room were broken which required a complete electric reset midway through our time. Mia handled it with professionalism, but it really detracted from the experience and immersion. The variety of puzzles was a little disappointing - there were a significant number of red herrings in almost every puzzle that were designed to throw you off. But rather than creating difficulty to make puzzles feel "hard", it added frustration and made the puzzles less fun. Even though the room aesthetics were fantastic, I don't think we will be back to try additional rooms at this location.
Props and set design were exceptional.
Mia was fantastic!

Dedication to theme was evident
The realistic gore will be something we remember for a long time.
Hard
Lots of red herrings and you will need to look high, low, and between to make sure you don't miss clues.

2 experienced plays, 3-5 less experienced players due to limited physical space and number of linear puzzles.
Scary
Lots of gore, blood, and you have to touch lots of gross things.

One very important sensor was detached, which required the whole room to be electronically reset. The GM paused our time and handled it professionally. She had to turn off power power to the whole experience, which also triggered the exit in the next room.
No
This room has a live actor version that we did not participate in.
Somewhat
Ducking and crawling were required
Mobility issues would make this room nearly impossible due to stairs, ducking and crawling. It was very dark, and no flashlights were given. There are multiple "listening" riddles that were somewhat difficult to understand and took a lot of time to reset.

This was a pretty good room, it was pretty hard and we almost didn't make it! The set design was pretty good, they definitely liked designing this room!
