Phantom Peak

Phantom Peak is not a normal escape room in anyway. I would say it is mainly focused on the immersive experience rather than puzzling, which are very simple and easy. This though does not take away at all from having an incredibly enjoyable experience. It is 3 hours long and you can do maximum 3 routes and there is a total of 12 per season. Strongly recommend and worth going more than once (probably in a different season).

Phantom Peak is not really a classical Escape Room. The place has both inside and outside parts and is built like a small, quirky city with shops and stores, brought to live by multiple inhabitants. You visit the city in timed slots, that are 4-5 hours long together with roughly 50 other people. Once in, there's Theater, challenges and sprinkled all over the place "storylines" that you can discover. The riddles are basically walking through the city and finding things, sometimes interactions with inhabitants are needed. Successfully ending a storyline, might have an impact on things that are happening in the city. There's food trucks or stalls inside as well, so the Timeslot is not at all too long. Very very good experience, great actors.

Phantom Peak is not a typical escape room, it is an openworld format immersive experience with multiple storylines to follow. Additionally the food and bar were great options to grab some food and drinks while enjoying the event. The actors were top notch and really added to the adventure. Be ready to say "yes" and go on adventures.

Completely unique experience - we as a group of 2 did 4 (of possibly 10?) stories in 4 hours and we didn’t rush the puzzles but did rush around getting from place to place. I’ve got genuine FOMO from not getting to do the others as you see bits of them as you go and they all look as good as each other. Don’t feel silly, just go for it and you’ll have fun! The food and drink was good and the actors absolutely spot on and talented.

Don’t approach Phantom Peak like an escape room, and you will have an extraordinary time in this open world quest-driven adventure. You will only be able to complete 2, maybe 3 trails per visit, if you try to do more, you’ll blow through what makes this fun. The whole point is interacting with the actors in this wacky world, being shady, coming up with covers and fibs, and embracing Jonas with all your heart. It’s unlike anything else, a must do.

Ok, not an escape room. But, a super fun immersive experience—like a less psychedelic Meow Wolf with organized missions. Expected to only stay an hour just to check it out but my group ended up staying for 4 hours and still didn’t see everything. Made for a great afternoon in London!

I have been keen to visit Phantom Peak since it opened. The theming and decor is impressive - just like a west world with characters (actors) to help you along the way when completing your trails. Loved how you actually felt like you were in a western town with lots of areas to explore. There is definitely a lot of walking in the 4.5 hours we were there and definitely needed a seat at the end! Didn't have high expectations of the food but it was excellent - highly recommend the hot dogs, burgers and loaded fries. Soft drinks were served in small cups though. Trails were fun and you can choose whether to do adventure or mystery trails and whether you would like to do crawling spaces (the maze which we loved) Have to say though it wasn't escape room puzzles, more like a treasure hunt with locations to go to for the next part of your story. Was a bit underwhelmed with the story lines and the opening/closing ceremonies but definitely worth an afternoon out for something definitely a bit different.

"Phantom Peak" offers an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience. It's recommended for anyone looking to try something unique. While the back-and-forth travel and the simplicity of some puzzles could be improved, it remains a remarkable adventure worth experiencing multiple times.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Phantom Peak, and I can’t wait to go back. It’s unlike anything I’ve done before, which makes it somewhat difficult to review as it’s hard to find a point of comparison. It pulls elements from escape rooms, theme parks, immersive theater, tabletop role playing games, and carnivals, but it also can’t be viewed solely through the lens of any one of those. I think my best description is that it is an interactive storytelling experience, and the best review I can offer is advice for how to approach it. As a visitor to Phantom Peak, your task is to uncover the stories hidden behind the seemingly idyllic town. Your phone will guide you, but the town and its residents ultimately have the answers. We got the most from our experience when we took our time, absorbed the information on video screens and posters, and really role played along with the characters, rather than just treating the town as a mine for information for your next quest. The construction of the city is audacious in its scale and design. And while it’s not, like, a Disney park in terms of the caliber (and budget) of set decoration, it’s more than enough to leave you comfortably immersed in its world. It’s big enough to be overwhelming when you first arrive, but small enough that by the time you leave you know where everything is and feel almost at home in the space. That balance is impressive, and is assisted by the well-designed “trails” (quests) which have you zigzagging all over the town. The residents of the town are all brilliantly acted with complex backstories and very specific character traits, and the crowds are small enough that you can establish rapport as your trails send you back to the same people over the course of your visit. They’re committed to their roles without being pretentious or stilted, and they can have fun and share a joke without breaking character. In my opinion, they were the single best part of the experience. Oh. And the boat ride was wild. It’s worth the queue. Don’t miss it. While we were there for the full 5 hours, we didn’t come anywhere close to seeing everything; I suspect that I could spend another 10-15 hours without exhausting the material that Phantom Peak has to offer. I don’t live in London so sadly I can’t come back whenever I want, but if I’m ever here again, I’ll definitely be spending another afternoon in the Venice of the West. In Jonas we trust!

Please go to this knowing it’s a deeply immersive experience and not a long escape room. There are trails, quests and adventures to take, yes, but not technically a traditional escape room. It is unlike any immersive experience I’ve tried before and it’s 11/10 worth it. Go have fun!!!!
