What a treat! We had high expectations for this room, and the Studio Escape team knocked it out of the park. The set production, sound, lighting, and storyline were phenomenal. Edd was our GM and brought so much energy and care to our experience, and we loved all of the details and backstory behind the making of this game. We especially loved the clever interactions involved with the various game elements. The puzzles flowed extremely well and had the perfect level of difficulty and wonder. We could tell this production was truly a labor of love and is highly highly recommended for all who visit Osaka!

Absolutely going as one of my favorite rooms we’ve done so far!! The story line was AMAZING and completely immersive. There were elements to it that really made it all feel so real. We did it with two people and felt like it flowed perfectly! Would come back to Japan just to do more of their rooms!

We absolutely loved this escape room! It was very creative. With English and Japanese options, it's very accessible to people visiting Osaka on their Japan trip.

This is probably one of my favorites ever for all the reasons! First of all, the story is fantastic and really engaging. The decorations are incredibly immersive, and there are so many fun details to admire. The puzzles have a natural and logical flow, and there’s lots is always a clear goal presented. Definitely a must visit if you are anywhere remotely close to this place!

Shadow Zen was a joy to experience! We started in the streets of Old Japan, exploring and searching through the alleyways together. Puzzles were on the easier side, and the set was a standout. As we progressed, each new reveal made me smile. The game paid extra attention to the details, and was well polished. Everything worked perfectly, and we were able to play in English, though one puzzle needed some elementary Japanese knowledge. If you’re ever in Osaka, this is a must play game.

What an incredible room to kick off our three room run with Studio Escape. This is the only room at this location and it set such a high bar. The real standout for this room is its immersion - from the second you arrive, you are launched into the story and world of the room. It’s definitely more of a story-based puzzle room than an escape room, but the props, puzzles and sound design are truly some of the highest quality we have ever experienced. For our first room in Japan, we were worried about language barriers, but this room is fully playable in English. Get there and do it!

Absolutely epic set design and one of the funnest final puzzles Ive ever experienced. My girlfriend & I did this one together and I truly think 2 (maybe 3 if you must) is the perfect number for this room. We had such a fun time. I loved the flow and unique creativity infused into the puzzle design here. Would recommend and honestly wish I could experience again for the first time.
