Neil Parker comes from a long line of money and power, but little is known about his family's origins. The tyrant's totalitarian regime is very careful with the few details that are told about his ancestors: great battles, a lot of honor and some betrayal... Unsubstantiated rumors say that they were part of the Austro-Hungarian aristocracy, and other stories date back to Genghis Khan himself. But the reality is quite different. The Parkers' origins were humble, and like many stories worth telling, it began in a Tavern. Delve into the story of Neil Ferdinand, the true ancestor of the City tyrant, to discover what started 400 years ago and is still alive in the Tavern of The City Escape Room Barcelona.

A mind blowing experience from start to finish that was masterfully cared for by the game masters. When we thought we reached our highest level of amazement, we were exposed to an even higher level againπ€―. Our experience featured costars Uri and Ines with a small guest appearance from Lucia and we can easily say these are award worthy stars! They were funny, helpful, encouraging, and never broke character. The puzzles were themed perfectly and flowed really well. Some puzzles really challenged us and I have some mild mobility issues so I was a bit nervous but I was able to make it through everything! So amazing, 10/10 would recommend time and time again. I wish I could relive it over and over again.
Immersive doesnβt even begin to describe itβ¦ no one can tell us we werenβt pirates

We were really enthralled in the scene, the puzzles, the sounds, etcβ¦ it was tough to understand or grasp what else was happening in the story anymore! Iβm sure it was great but we had trouble absorbing it
Hard
And this is with 2 people with a fair amount of experience (borderline expert). This will likely decrease with more people!

Not very, I have mild mobility issues as Iβm not very nimble but it does require steps, uneven ground, crawling, low light, listening, color vision.

As the game unfolded from one beautifully designed set to the next, my internal "wow" kept growing. This game has it all with very fun actor interactions, great puzzling, sets that will blow you away, great sound and music, and a surprise ending that took my breath away. This is a must play in the Barcelona area. When it was done, I was so sad that we didn't have time to play their other games. I would love to see what else these creators have dreamed up.

OMG, they have parking. If you play enough in Europe you will realize what a rare find parking can be.

La Taberna is of my favorite games ever. I think the best rooms start small but grow, both in scale and puzzles. There were multiple points in the game where I thought "wow, the designers did a good job building up to this, it's probably the finale" and then the game kept going and getting more impressive. The set was amazing, and the barkeep's banter during the early stage of the game to keep players from being bored when there wasn't much to work on was great. That's not to say La Taberna is without flaws - there's a point in the game where the acoustics are terrible, and I lost track of the plot and was just like "cool stuff happening, not sure why but I'll enjoy it anyway"

We ranked this game second place of the 10 escape rooms we played in Spain. This room is deserving of all of the praise it receives, it has a huge gamespace novel and interesting puzzles and top-tier set design. If I had one criticism, it would be that the game was pretty easy to complete overall, I personally would have appreciated more challenging puzzles. It's a little bit out of the way in Terassa, but it was absolutely worth the trouble of getting there.

WHOA - what an incredible set design, immersive gameplay experience, and great creative puzzles to boot. One of the top escape room experiences Iβve done yet, helped with solid acting. Would recommend 2-4 people.

This is the best escape room Iβve done of 50 rooms and 5 TERPECA rooms. Our GMs were amazing and really elevated the experience! The puzzles were incredible and the theming was incredible. I just kept being more and more amazed by the space
Saria was great as a GM and an actor to bring life to the experience!

Incredible incredible incredible! By far the best room I have ever played in! Having not seen any reviews on it I had no particular expectations and what a surprise, what a crazy room!!! Mama Mia ! I can't get over it. The spaces are huge, the sets spectacular, the interactions with the actors above anything I have experienced, wow effects, you want them! The immersion is total, I would even call it more of an immersive experience than an escape room, however the puzzle side is also respected! This is completely crazy ! Everything is well thought out, itβs fluid, itβs beautiful, itβs gripping. I don't know what else to say other than GO FOR IT!! If you want to experience something grandiose for 2 hours, and feel like you're a character in a life-size video game: you won't regret! A room full of depth and above all very promising, which risks dethroning the historic numbers one of the escape game

My 4 teammates ranked βLa Tabernaβ as their #1 escape room. They appreciated the set design, puzzles, story, & acting. Out of the 118 escape rooms Iβve done including over 30 Terpecas, this room had the most impressive and realistic set design. There were a wide variety of puzzles, which allowed everyone an opportunity to contribute. I found the physical puzzles particularly creative and amusing. Our primary game-master was friendly and poured himself into his roles. My boyfriend had a terrific time exchanging dialogue with him. Even though the room isnβt amongst my favorites due to several circumstances, I feel that escape room enthusiasts visiting Barcelona would be missing out on a very unique experience if they skipped this room.
βLa Tabernaβ had the best set design in Spain during our trip. Due to set design, I consider it a must-play.
