250 escape rooms
Dystopia by Dystopia Escape Game was our 6th room of the NL/BE escape tour 2026 and the 3rd game of the day, played with the same team of three right after The Botanist Manor. This one truly surprised us, but not in the way you’d expect at first. When you arrive, the first impression is, to say the least, confusing. The road in front was unpaved, muddy, full of potholes (it had recently rained), and from the outside it’s hard to believe there’s a high-quality escape room inside. Then you enter and see graffiti covered walls, panels full of buttons, wires, and electronic components. It feels raw and industrial. The host was super friendly and welcoming, which immediately helped reset our expectations. Once the game started, everything clicked. The environment is used extremely well and fits the dystopian theme perfectly. The room is fully automated, and the puzzle flow is smooth and intuitive. From a gameplay perspective, it was far stronger than we anticipated. Some mechanics are slightly repetitive, but they are executed cleanly and consistently. We left genuinely with a good feeling. This is a hidden gem and absolutely worth playing.
