The high-level meta theme of this escape room being an escape room really scratched an itch for me thematically and in terms of set design. The puzzles were on the simpler side to accommodate for the fact that the group is under duress. I enjoyed the effort put into world-building the grander narrative for this series. The acting was passionate and immersive and I recommend all to forgo the safety opt-out; it's not too bad. We did all the escape rooms at Masterpiece except for Metro Mayhem and Missing and this was our #3!

I don’t do scary and I loved this game. And it was very scary. I can’t believe I loved it. Solid game play for a scary room. Our guide was so believable that I feel like I fell for it. The story line was meta in the best way. Even if you don’t do scary try it! If you do scary, you gotta try this!

WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! I can't give away spoilers, but suffice to say, it's a joyride from start to finish. (And it's only the first chapter!) The puzzles are good, nothing crazy hard, although this is as much an experience as an escape room! Go do this and enjoy yourself!

Get ready to be scared! The flow was great and just when you started to get things going...the shrieking started!! This is an immersive horror game done right!

Set design was fair. (The story takes place in an old escape room company...) But massive! So many rooms you were involved in, but nothing overwhelming!

I really enjoyed this room even though I was terrified going in! This room is scary but not so scary that you can’t function. There is a good split between time to work on puzzles and time to interact with the actor. I can’t wait to return to future installments of Ghastly Escapes! If you are like I was and are intimidated by this room, you’re probably getting yourself worked up over nothing. If you like haunted houses and escape rooms, you will like this room and should definitely try it!

Very unique game-flow and it was super fun! The puzzles weren’t as challenging as other rooms at this location but that felt necessary given the intense context of the room. The split between time to interact with actors and time to work on puzzles was well done!
Atmosphere
The atmosphere for this room is immersive given the fact that the setting for this room is a haunted escape room. It was interesting to see how the concept of an escape room was incorporated into an escape room.
Customer service
The staff members at this location are all so kind and welcoming! Even in an intense room like this, I felt as though the staff members were very respectful. We didn’t ask for any accommodations in this room in regards to interactions with the actor but they made sure to check in about our boundaries before the room started anyways which was great!

Cool storyline! I am very interested to see how the latter chapters in Ghastly Escapes will be incorporated into the same space and will definitely return for the future installments!

The puzzles themselves were not very hard. If you get distracted by all of the other things happening in the room then you might have more difficulty with the puzzles.

I wouldn’t recommend doing this room with a group smaller than 3 but I think anywhere from 3-6 would be good!

If you like haunted houses and other scary escape rooms but you’re nervous that this one will be too scary for you, don’t be. I was really nervous for this room but ended up really enjoying the whole thing and was never too scared to function. The staff members are all so respectful and you can always ask for accommodations in regards to interactions with the actor. Definitely worth a visit even if you’re nervous, I came out of this room so excited to come back to future installments of Ghastly Escapes!

The game master stays with you the whole time and the creature (the bagman) is also a big part of the room even though it isn’t with you 100% of the time.

This room was such an AMAZING experience!!!!!! I’ve done a lot of rooms and I typically don’t like actors in the room but they did such a great job and incorporating it into the storyline!!! We are avid haunted house attendees and they knew that so it wasn’t just about scaring us they made it soooo entertaining! For most people I will say this was a pretty intense room, as per their website the actors can touch you and stuff but it made it that much better!! The puzzles were creative but not too difficult!! I highly recommend this room!!!

One of the most immersive experiences I have played. If you do not like scary things, you will not like this. I love scary so this was a room that was for me! Everything made sense. The story was well told through the characters, puzzles and set. I would recommend playing this game. I drove from Central Florida and would absolutely do it again to play the next chapters.
