Fear rages amidst the endless neon lights and gloomy shadows of the metropolis. The streets are riddled with paranoia and the buzzing of drones mingles with the whispering rumours in the dark alleyways. Another young woman has disappeared without a trace, but this time it's not just anyone - it's the voice of a generation, the famous singer Mula, whose songs lit up the city. But in a city where power and secrets are the currency, every lead leads to the depths of an underworld where corruption has corroded morality. Here, in the forgotten tunnels beneath the shiny surface, lies the truth - and perhaps the life of the missing singer. You enter this dark reality with nothing but your wits and the determination to save the lost soul. The clock is ticking, and as you fight your way through a web of intrigue, mystery and betrayal, it becomes clear that the boundaries between good and evil have long since been blurred. Every step deeper into this world draws you closer to the abyss, where every decision is the difference between life and death. Immerse yourself in a dystopian future where truth is more precious than gold. Are you ready to dare the impossible and explore the unknown? Only the bravest will find the singer and save the metropolis from a dark fate.

We did the game on our second day of the DreamLabs tour and I might say this was my favorite escape game I played so far. From an awe-inspiring set to a great storyline and some cool puzzles and some unexpected twists it was simply amazing. I felt fully immersed in the Bladerunner universe. My husband couldn’t come that time so we’ll go back and I’ll definitely play it again.

An overrated game for sure. It’s too much search and find and not enough true puzzles.

Cyberpunk as you imagine it based on Bladerunner. The atmosphere and setting are simply incredible, so many moments where you stop to enjoy your movie like surroundings…

Loved this concept so much! It was so different. The theming and props were so spot on! It was an incredible adventure to the future! (In my dreams of course!) loved the storyline and all the gadgets throughout the game. Loads of great puzzles and very stimulating moments! The ending was my favorite! Must see!

This is as good as it gets - theming and story are the best I've ever seen, and I've seen a lot! I honestly want to play it again so my eyes can drink in the relentlessly gorgeous, cinema-quality sets. And I very much appreciate a story that's morally complex. This is clearly one of the best games in the world. I preferred the Heartless Pirate at the same venue, but, if you get yourself to Bad Steben, you'd be daft not to do both.

2nd room we played at Dream Labs that day. The setting is great and creates an immersive atmosphere as If you really are in Metropolis.

Metropolis 2099 by Dream Labs was the second room of the day and the eighth of our Bavarian Escape Tour, with the same group of 4. As mentioned in my previous review of The Tale of the Heartless Pirate, Dream Labs delivers perfection from start to finish, and this room was no exception. The immersion is on another level, with props, lighting, sound, and set design so well done you truly feel transported into a futuristic dystopian world straight out of Blade Runner. The puzzle design fits flawlessly with the environment, offering a smooth and cohesive flow. While the puzzles are on the easier side, this aligns with Dream Labs’ signature style of prioritizing immersive storytelling over difficulty. This experience runs 90 minutes, but we finished with 12 minutes to spare, likely due to the heightened sense of urgency that’s beautifully built into the narrative pacing. On a personal level, I found this even more enjoyable than The Heartless Pirate, mainly because I have a soft spot for dystopian and futuristic themes. Absolutely recommended for all players, regardless of experience. A masterclass in immersion.

Outstandingly fitting perfectly with the theme. Though on the east side.
Perfection in depicting a dystopian world.
Incredibly nice and caring. Took their time to explain at the end what ever questions we had and looking through the rooms.

We first played The Legend of the Heartless Pirate and really enjoyed the live act. We had actually expected more of it, not just a short appearance, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Overall, the room was incredible in terms of intensity, attention to detail, and authenticity. It’s truly amazing what they’ve created in such a small town. Thank you for the great experience and the friendly interaction!
