Da Vinci's Secret

Quite difficult old school style escape room. Tons of puzzles but none that particularly stood out to me. Three is a good number for this room. Our GM Derek was amazing though.

We were worried about this room but completed it with plenty of time left on the clock. There were for 5 of us playing. Many of the puzzles were really interesting (especially in one of the rooms). There was one room that was quite challenging for us but we ended up getting through it with a clarifying hint. The theming was good but felt a little first generation. Still, we enjoyed it and appreciated the game play. Thanks for a great experience!

Loved this escape room! Our GM (Grant) was welcoming and so passionate about escape rooms in general. He did a great job setting the scene for us. The room itself was about medium difficulty. Shouldnt be too difficult for ppl who have done 10+ rooms before. My gf and I completed it as a group of two. The puzzles were a good mix of different types, with some fun tech-y ones thrown in, and they all really made us think. This is one of our favorite rooms and we’re looking forward to trying the rest at this location.

This is my favorite Da Vinci room, great set design, with a variety of fun puzzles. Also appreciated the signposting and game flow, it all works. This room also does not take itself too seriously, which has been part of the downfall of other Da Vinci rooms I have done. Had a blast!

Lots of puzzles makes it good for larger groups. Some easy, some hard. Lots of ways to contribute.

This game had a right amount of difficulty for seasoned players. We had a group of six for Da Vinci's secret, and I think an ideal number for this room would be 4-6. There were some puzzles that could use an extra set of eyes, and there are some non-linear elements so plenty of things for folks to do! Our game master was Derek and he received us warmly. The story is that we are at an archaeological dig and we are looking to excavate treasure or the room will cave in 75 minutes. Two of the puzzles really stumped us but they are the puzzles I will remember forever, just because of how clever they were. There is a good mix of lock-and-key and technical puzzles. Overall, for an "older room", because all of the puzzles were working! This is definitely one of the stronger Da Vinci-themed rooms I've experienced so far. There was a sound notification for every puzzle completed and there were more twists than I anticipated. Would recommend this one for those looking for more of a challenge.

Derek was a very knowledgeable GM and always has tons of insights to share. Great follow-up conversations about more rooms to complete and to share his passion for creating/playing. He also has a fun lobby puzzle to solve too if you can find it. The room itself has a lot of care built into it and feels unique. Every puzzle flowed into another and was hard enough that it felt like we had to work for it. Great room overall even though it's on the older side, it feels unique enough that it's unlike the other lock and key rooms that you've probably done. A good hybrid between the mechanical and hi-tech aspects of an escape room. Would suggest 4 for this room!

7.8/10 This game is great for enthusiasts seeking a puzzle heavy experience. This room is old and has been played pretty hard but don’t let that deter you for its bones are still strong. A good mix of basic tech and lock and key. Some good moments that will make you smile and some that will make you go “ugh one of these???”All in all a great room for its age. Would recommend a group of 3 for experienced players/maximum of 4.
