Local legend has it, after a stagecoach heist, in attempt to elude authorities, Billy the Kid stashed his loot in a nearby saloon, only to be gunned down before he could return to claim it. Now recognized as a historical landmark, the Fox Tail Saloon has reopened its doors to those who seek the infamous outlawβs fortune.

IMHO this is NorCal's best room for for beginners. Somewhat unusually, puzzles make sense in-universe (if you handwave away many years passing), which I thought was a neat design choice. At the same time, there was one search element which we never would have found without taking a clue, and even though the set decoration was good, the space seemed underutilized - there were two large areas which never really played a role.

Maybe 1-2 enthusiasts or 3-4 newbies. We played with 5 enthusiasts, which frequently left some people standing around but was fine spacewise and let us be more leisurely.
Not scary
This seemed all-ages. Most (all?) puzzles were easy to reach

Some puzzles require crouching to interact with. One section of the game requires one player to crawl a short distance.

Really cool theming for the room. Meant as a period piece so the game (by design) is mechanical. Because of this there were a few times where the focus was on finding objects rather than solving puzzles which kept this room from our personal top echelon. Otherwise though, the room was excellent.

Definitely by design and helps the theming quite a bit

A very authentic saloon feeling room. Squeaky floor boards and very well done set design. Innovative puzzles that require a lot of cooperation with your team. We got through this room very quickly so itβs definitely a better game for newer players. But still a great room.

The creaky wood floorboards added to the nice set. This room has some innovative puzzles.
Hard
Only because there is not much signposting.
Mechanical
Itβs an old west saloon so mechanical fits the theme.

There is one area that requires crawling for at least one member of your group for a brief time, but not everyone needs to go so I would say that this room is accessible for all.
Yes
It is tucked behind another business, but they have great signage and directions on the booking confirmation.

Fantastic set, and a lot of care taken into maintaining the game as a period piece, nothing feeling out of place. Some really neat puzzles and really fun moments. If you like western stuff youβll love this game, it is as accurate as they come.

Incredible Game. Realistic, immersive, and master crafted. The old school western vibes stay true in this game. Iβm thoroughly enjoyed this one really well executed ending as well!

The theme was great, but a room that's a bit small for any group over 4. Pay attention to the smallest details, even if you think it might not mean anything. I'd say it was a room good for mid-level escape artists vs newbies.
