There are no actual live clowns and all content is appropriate for participants of all ages. The room is very dark, however, and the game is challenging. There may be clown images. No intro video is provided. The Box features a straight forward build-out with nothing to take away from the puzzles. When you walk into this room, you are not given directions. You have one source of light and the BOX is staring at you daring you to bring it on! This is the accumulation of over one hundred escape room experiences from both sides of the Mississippi. We took great concepts and merged them with even better puzzles, and put it all right there in front of you – in The BOX. Just another reason we're Daringly Different!

We went in with an open mind and while we mostly enjoyed it, and didn’t actually have a bad time (save for the very last puzzle), it’s not really a room I’d recommend for anyone, seasoned or new players. It’s an interesting, unique “challenge” room, without any fanfare or explanation about anything. It’s certainly different, but I couldn’t help but feel the entire time how it could really benefit from some TLC, and possibly a complete reimagining to make it really ominous, actually spooky/scary, and more thematically engaging. Part of how this would really shine is by hiding all the “parts” that show how it functions (wires, power taps, raw electronics etc), because I think this was its weakest area. Plus the inclusion of various clown iconography was completely out of place and confusing. It really didn’t need it, and really didn’t enhance anything. The main focus of the room is where it shines Puzzles work and progress in a very old school, Gen 1, “figure out which key or combination goes to which lock” in a rotating fashion around the room. The design is actually quite novel and engaging, but it unfortunately suffers from strange execution that, while its mostly a good time playing it, you can’t help but feel afterward how much better it could have been with some more polish from top to bottom. Only play if you’re really curious and don’t mind burning a hour for something humble and different.

I’ve done a lot of escape rooms and this might be good for someone that hasn’t. The staff is very friendly but the room is run down. There was holes in the wall and old puzzles that they put permanent marker over. I feel like they can do better with the escape room and just felt like everything was all over the place
