The haunted tour company, Wickedly Terrifying Excursions, is excited to offer haunt enthusiasts tours to the Grove Theater, a 1920s abandoned movie theater where, Cinema 7, is the last theater standing. While the rest of the Grove Theater was set to be demolished, a group called TFC has pushed to save the theater, to which because of their efforts, tours to the Grove Theater can begin.

Okay, so I want to love this one, however, the twist just missed the mark for me. The set was amazing, and puzzles were creative, but I found more often than not we were solving things to unlock a box. The game master respected our request and offered minimal help. Great room, good game, definitely worth the drive if you’re in central Florida !

Gameplay flowed well, there were only two times we felt stumped and needed help. Puzzles were creative and very high tech! I loved how the space unraveled before us.

Set design won the cake on this room. It was extremely immersive and gave you the feeling of truly being in a movie theater

Had a lot of fun in this room. Pretty straight forward, no issues or confusion for our group of three. Atmosphere was great. Story and theming of the puzzles were great.

Such a good and fun room to do! Had the perfect amount of creepiness to it and not overwhelming scary. As far as the set design, wow. Made us really feel like we were in a creepy cinema/theater. Such an immersive experience, would recommend for anyone doing escape rooms, whether you’re a beginner or experienced. It was a fairly easy room we’d say. However, It does have a lot of puzzles and locks to do. Everything flowed really well and was pretty self explanatory as you progress through the game. Everyone working here is also super friendly and always treats us super well every time we come by to do a room!

OH MY WORD! 1) everything about the room was incredible. From the theming to the clues themselves, just great. 2) Our game master “Miles” was the sole reason we got out - but not in a way that detracted from the game itself but in a way that elevated it. This was my first escape game using this app and every other review was spot on

Cinema 7 has earned a spot near the top of my list of escape rooms. I think it perfectly balanced its atmosphere by making things creepy but not making it overly-creepy. It’s a creepy escape room, but those that don’t like the idea of a “scary escape room” could still probably visit this one and be completely fine with it. One or two jumpscares (noise based, not physical), distorted music, flickering lights, and a spooky theme are what make it “spooky”. But that is an important distinction: it’s spooky, not scary. Highly recommend this room for people of all experience levels. Definitely plan on returning to this location to play some of their other rooms when we get the chance!

We did this with two people. Most puzzles we were able to figure the answers out to without much difficulty. There was a couple of times where we had to take a few minutes to figure the puzzles out, but when we did, the puzzles made complete sense and didn’t have any logical leaps.

It all depends on maturity. The creepiness may not be suitable for some teens, but I can see other teens loving it. Beyond the creepiness, there wasn’t anything else that would be cause for a higher age rating.

Accessibility
Accessible for people with hearing disabilities. Possible for people who may have reduced vision (most things were large and easy to read except for a couple of things). Those with mobility issues may want to sit this escape room out. You can still participate in about 50% of the room, but a large portion of the room takes place in raised areas that require the ability to climb stairs or ladders.

Very accessible parking garage right next to the strip-mall it’s in. You do have to pay for parking in that garage, but it’s only $5 for 2 hours, so certainly not bad

This is a very nice room. It is well themed, right amount of creepy and is a medium difficulty. This requires a good bit of physical exercise and you will definitely need good communication especially if you are doing it with small groups. This was my first room at this location and I will be coming back to likely finish the rest of the escape rooms they have on offer.
