Summary: The Asher family’s legacy dates back more than two centuries. The family patriarch, Broderick Asher, built a vast fortune in the 1830s, commissioned the construction of Asher Hall, and was even reported to be friends with Edgar Allan Poe. The writer’s influence on Broderick is seen throughout the mansion, as much of the house’s design pays homage to some of Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous stories. Now, nearly two hundred years later, the house’s owner, Carlton Asher, has summoned the entire family for a dinner party to celebrate the discovery of a lost Poe manuscript that was gifted to Broderick Asher by the author himself during the years of their friendship. Yet, things go horribly wrong when family members begin to be killed in gruesome ways by someone calling themself The Red Death. Can you unmask The Red Death before the entire Asher house is eliminated? Or will you watch the destruction of a historic family and serve as a witness to The Fall of the House of Asher?

a great game for fans of EAP and a nice introduction to his most famous works if new to him. a predictable plot but that’s what happens when you make a game based off of a book from almost 200 years ago. the puzzles were still enjoyable nonetheless.
