Alice: Reimagined

This is more of a puzzle room than an escape room.. But a good puzzle room. Detail and artwork in this room was amazing. There were a few broken puzzles though and the hint system isn't that great. But I did love the room. There are a few parts where the game Flow doesn't flow as well. However, I plan to go to their other rooms.

Beautiful room with mixed feelings on puzzle quality and difficulty. A few changes to gameplay would have made it a great room but as is, and knowing it could be better, was a bit frustrating.

I really like conundroom games. The rooms are always immersive and the story and puzzles are fun. However this room just didn’t do it. It’s one of the first rooms they came out with way back but it is very old. Even after the updating it still feels like an old worn out room. It’s on for kids maybe but for adults it’s better to skip it. They have better rooms.

Immersive design with some neat themed puzzles. We did this with a group of 4 but 2-3 would have also been fine. The space is pretty small for a group larger than 4. Puzzles were on the easier side. Unfortunately, the puzzles were finicky and it was hard to tell if they’d gone off or not. The room was also not working well - as the gm told us from the start. However, usually in my experience if the operator knows a room isn’t working well they’ll watch the players closely and intervene pre-emptively if they see something hasn’t gone off that should have or that a puzzle has gone off but no one saw the outcome. Instead, the gm told us to assume the puzzle wasn’t working if we thought we’d solved it and to push a button to call them into the room. They also told us the speaker system wasn’t very good so came into the room for every hint or puzzle fix - I don’t blame the gm this but also it was weird and broke all the immersion to have someone come into the room every few minutes. Also a frustrating solution when it’s a room filled with all of these tech problems.

Overall an okay room, but would not recommend. The main room is NOT friendly to photosensitive people, but the other rooms are okay. Some puzzles feel redundant. Staff makes the experience feel purely transactional, not chatting before or after. GM didn't feel attentive to our group.

So the first thing I will say is why are you going to use local artists for your room and then use AI for the promotional art? So so disappointing. Be better, Conundroom. As for the room itself, unfortunately it really left a lot to be desired. Between an inattentive Game Master (who was very nice to be completely fair, but it was very clear they straight up weren’t paying any attention at all while we were in the room and it showed several times) and puzzles that had no flow nor indication as to what to do, my partner and I were left floundering basically the whole time. I understand that this is a room meant for three or more, but even with more people I imagine it’ll probably be just as—if not more—confusing. TLDR; like maybe 1 or 2 good puzzles and a great setting with an inattentive game master and a bunch of other puzzles that aren’t good at all.

Very different escape room from our usual experience. Have enjoyed every room from Conundrum - this one is beautifully done and well thought out. Highly recommended!
