Cannibal's Den 2.0

This was a fun and somewhat scary room (mostly scary at the beginning) with good puzzles and we apparently set a new room record. A little linear but it was fine for our group of four. Our only complaint was that the guide kept giving us hints throughout when we didn’t ask for any. It was fairly constant so next time there (and we’ll definitely still go back for their other rooms!) we’ll ask for none at all unless requested.

Even with some slight issues, I still recommend the room and the overall location. Customer service needs some improvement, and the GMs need more training, but the rooms are unique, the atmospere is amazing, and the puzzles are fun when they work properly. Worth it if you accept some flaws.

This room is quite difficult, and as other reviews have mentioned, it partially is because the play style and “puzzle-solving” is not traditionally what you would expect from an escape room. I will say that generally applies to the rooms at this business, but it’s usually something that we absolutely love about Quest Room. However, this room and our experience today did not match up to what we expect from one of our favorite room locations. The room itself was challenging because your group is separated and must find its way to each other, which leads to a lot of isolated waiting around time while 1 person is doing a task that no one else can help with. Additionally, the hints we got from our GM were not particularly helpful, and he let us struggle for a long time when we were doing the right thing but perhaps just not applying enough force. However, the most uncomfortable thing was that our GM basically would not let us leave until we left a tip, which has never ever happened to me during an escape room experience and left us a little speechless.

I’m not a scary escape room person AT ALL. I don’t go to haunted houses. But this room was great! Loved the design; the beginning; and the difficulty. We did have a few elements that didn’t work well (a keypad, a stool, and a flashlight) but otherwise, it was a lot of fun. Our GM (Arianna) was great and added a lot to the room. I do recommend this room highly (even if you are a scaredy cat like me). However, do know that there are disturbing elements in the room and there are some scary moments. But the room is worth all of that. Some really cool elements!

Cannibal’s Den’ will forever hold a special place in my heart because it’s the escape room that introduced me to immersive experiences and sparked my love for escape rooms. I find it perfectly balanced, blending immersive atmosphere with just the right mix of survival-themed challenges and brain-teasing puzzles. It’s definitely a challenging room, and we loved it so much that we even came back a second time to complete it. This is a scary room, so be prepared for that! Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10 experience, and I would highly recommend it. Shout out to our game master Emory for the amazing experience!

You're either going to love it or hate it. I loved it!! And it's interesting why you may hate it (2 reasons)...this escape room is quite different to what you'd normally do. It's less traditional "puzzle solving" and more "if I were actually in this situation, what would I do?" And that's why many escape room enthusiasts may feel stumped (and end up wasting time) because the solutions are often far simpler and "practical" rather than sophisticated decryption. The atmosphere is quite intense and they have done a great job on the design! You genuinely feel uneasy in there - which is the point. Big FYI: Pay attention to the instructions of your game master. This is the second reason: there is a mini-event during the game that may result in an immediate "game over" if you fail to attend to it in a timely manner...even if you have 30 mins of gametime remaining! This had stumped us the first time and we still hadn't realized what had happened. I had given feedback to the game masters to highlight the mini event slightly more because this totally catches people off-guard. Funnily, the game becomes so tense that - much like in the real world - you get caught in the chaos of wanting to escape and end up overlooking the basics. It's part of the game, makes it very engaging...but on the flipside, can be frustrating to some. I highly recommend this room. It's novel, it's exciting! Great option for a "scary" escape room...especially if you get the guy with the deep voice who goes above and beyond...and stays in character even when you exit and get in your car (!). I will be bringing friends here for them to experience this for themselves :D

The room design was fantastic. The game itself is also pretty good. I think it all comes down to who your game master is. Our person was nice, but not very helpful when we needed nudges. We were a couple of tasks away from finishing, but couldn’t figure out one of the last remaining things. Again, great room theming!

All the GM were excellent. Made us feel welcome, took care of the game and helpful.

Overall this was a great experience. Quite a few unique puzzles. A couple of them were a little frustrating, but I'd still highly recommend the room. The production value is great. The room is a bit more scary/ intense than other rooms, so be prepared for that. All Quest rooms are great, so do them all!
