I can't express how much I loved this room!! Such a fun idea. Each section was brilliantly designed, both in atmosphere and puzzles.
Gameplay was very fun. The first room had some interesting and unique puzzles incorporating the arcade cabinets (including an actual video game as part of unlocking the next room!) There was one puzzle in the next room that took us all a while to figure out the mechanics of it, 'cause it wasn't clear with exactly how long it was supposed to last for.
The 90's arcade atmosphere in the first room was AMAZING. The second room was a bit of a shock in comparison, but was still pretty cool to see. The last room had a singular puzzle to it, so it didn't necessarily feel like another 'room', but more of like an extension to the second larger one.
Particularly interesting or different
Yes
The first section with the mini arcade was the best part in my opinion.
Cute! You're tasked to help a little arcade game character expell a virus, but things go a little haywire!
Some puzzles were pretty easy to figure out, and others weren't.
Very tech driven - you're in an arcade, afterall :)
Wouldn't say scary. Might be a little frightening to younger kids.
You could bring younger kids, but it might make for a frustrating experience when figuring out puzzles and needing to coordinate who's going to do what, with a risk of not escaping in time.
Has been reporting occassional issues, but our group didn't experience any.
Physically active
Somewhat
There's some running around involved (red light/green light style), and stepping on stuff on the ground.
Accessibility
Could be accomodating for physically diabled folks. I don't think hearing impairments would be a problem, as when the character talks, there's closed captioning on screens as well. There's *one* sound puzzle that could be a challenge for those who are hearing impared.
