‘The Crystal Mine’ delivers one of Padlock’d’s best aesthetic designs to date. It features some enjoyable puzzles and props that mostly fit within the mining theme. A few puzzles and locks need signposting/adjusting to direct players and for clarity, but overall, a promising room with great visual immersion. It’s certainly the highlight of the experience — great care went into decorating the space to offer a glimmering cavern. ‘The Crystal Mine’ would be a good room for families, I look forward to seeing how the experience changes with time as more teams experience the game over the next few months.
There were a few enjoyable puzzles in the game. Cluing the initial puzzle would greatly benefit the flow, and one padlock would do well with clear paint/marking to show which side to input the code.
The aesthetics were the highlight, one of their best set designs to date! Nicely designed.
Adin was a great GM and knew a lot about escape rooms.
