Set was reasonable (though the style they're aiming for isn't particularly challenging), puzzles made sense and were fine. I liked that this game made more of an attempt to tell a story than many spooky escape rooms, and that there was a cooldown opportunity after the game - I think more spooky/horror games should do this. I would feel a little reluctant to recommend this game to a certain set of my friends because of the subject matter and their background - normally escape room themes are not too much of an issue, but I think this game goes a little further than most.

4 experienced players felt good. The game seems designed for 4 players in terms of set and story, though I imagine it's perfectly playable at other counts. Puzzlewise, 2-3 is probably also fine.

I did not particularly like this as it is not my theme at all, and I can't recommend it because of that - but some of the puzzles were interesting and there were some fun moments. The actor / new owner was talented and a nice guy. Know that this is scary but not over the top; however, the theme and many puzzles revolve around satanic imagery and words, which I was not expecting at all based on the description of the game (I assume that was just my misunderstanding, so not blaming the owners here).

Story

I misunderstood the description (my fault). I don't mind a little scary, but this got a little too close to "playing with evil" for me - reading satanic writings, etc...

The Brotherhood was a great experience that balanced a thrilling atmosphere with well designed puzzles. The acting was spot on, adding to the immersion and keeping us engaged throughout. The room offered a nice variety of puzzles, making it enjoyable for all four of us and suitable for both newbies and experienced players. While the ending was a bit anticlimactic, it didn’t take away from the fun and excitement of the overall experience. Afterward, we had a pleasant chat with the owner about the escape room industry, got some great recommendations for other rooms in the area, and were even offered free drinks to wrap up the experience. The photo moment was fine but nothing particularly memorable. A solid and fun escape room adventure! Strongly recommended. 2nd time 12/02/2026 The Brotherhood by Ruby Escape was the first room of our 4-day escape tour and the first game overall. I had played it over a year ago, back when the original owner and designer was also the GM. Returning to it now with a different team and a new GM (one of the current co-owners) was a great test of how well it holds up. It absolutely does. Even knowing parts of the structure, it was still a lot of fun to experience again. The current GM delivered good acting and kept the tone consistent throughout. The atmosphere, flow, and puzzle design remain solid and engaging. It’s one of those rooms that works because the fundamentals are well built. This one also marked a special milestone: it was my partner’s 200th escape room, and it was a good choice to celebrate it with. Despite already having played it, it still ended up being a nice highlight of Day 1 for me. Highly recommended, whether it’s your first visit or a return.
