Really enjoyed this room! Great set, fun puzzles and helpful game master. Recommended!
Fun non-linear game play with clearly mapped puzzles. Puzzles leaned into the apothecary theme.
Beautiful set
They let me book as a solo player n their morning slot. Game master (Nadya was helpful and fun)
No
Not too much story but puzzles leaned into theme and loosely into story.
Medium
Hard for a solo player but doable with some nudges. Would’ve been great with 2-3 players.

I loved this room!! A little different to other escape rooms we’ve done but it was really cool!

I loved this room! I went with 2 other people and deeply enjoyed that we could split up and conquer. Between the 3 of us, there were more than enough puzzles to do and I loved how clever and interesting they were. Would definitely come back to do again

Fun game and a great GM. Fun time with the puzzles. Really nice visit and we look forward to their other rooms.

I feel like this was a promising introduction to the Escape room scene in Boston. The puzzles were clever but not necessarily easy and the non-linear nature of these puzzles would lend itself well to a larger group who could pair off to solve things. It’s got a great dark academia feel. I appreciated there was only one lock and key puzzle and was delighted with the “Magic tricks”. The only puzzle we were less fond of was finding the place. Boston has rules for signage on its historical buildings so you have to look for the unassuming wooden door with a three on it between the Chipotle and the Bruegger’s Bagles (as of 4/2024) and go up to the second floor. Had we known that our escape room adventure started on the street… All in all, this was a fun room and we will recommend this to our Escape room friends.
Nice asymmetrical gameplay. A great first escape room or for a large group.
Theming was great and takes advantage of the history of the building.
Thalia was our GM and did a great job with both the opener and the hints. Was also right on it answering text questions (I appreciate not having to talk on the phone)
Yes
There were some puzzles that were very novel to us and that always makes it exciting.
Loved the flavor and how it tied into the history of the building. Puzzles embraced the alchemical nature of the storyline.
Easy
For a couple of puzzles hounds, this would make an excellent date night activity. For a larger group of new players, this would be perfect starting point. The puzzles largely hit the sweet spot of just hard enough that you feel clever for solving it but were not brain burners. We only asked for one hint and left feeling very pleased with our cleverness.
Mechanical
Mostly mechanical with a scenario appropriate amount of tech.

Unless you are an octopus, teamwork is sometimes needed.
I don’t think there is an elevator and this is on the second floor of an older building. Stairs are everywhere. Lights are also low and there are some things that could be challenging to the colorblind.
No
It’s in a tricky spot in a historic building that doesn’t allow for better signage. There is a 3 on the door but unless you know what you’re looking for it’s hard to spot.
Easy
Easy but not cheep. This is in the middle of Boston after all. Parking garages are nearby but expensive.

Fun concept, poor execution. Some props were excellently made but a few were fiddly and amateurish. One puzzle has potential for a major sequence break that makes an interesting prop redundant; one potentially novel puzzle was not properly reset, making the solution trivial; and a couple puzzles were so straightforward, I wouldn't even call them puzzles.

Fun room, nice staff. Overall good experience ☺️ pretty non-linear game.

This was a fun room that gets you to think. Fun challenging puzzles throughout the game. A little confusing because they're is no chronological order of puzzles and one puzzle doesn't lead to another but overall this was will put together.

This was a fun and intuitive room - I was with 2 kids 10 and 12 and we were able to complete it. Some good hands on puzzles
“Seriously satisfying game, and regardless of experience level, we highly recommend playing Panacea “
“Panacea, was a solid game and more of a traditional escape room.“
