Welcome to Devlin Manor. Mr. Devlin has been murdered. And what you thought was a simple and possibly fortuitous "Reading of the Will" has turned into a deadly, high stakes "who done it" mystery. You have 60 minutes to find the killer and the antidote or you may be the next to join the ghosts that wander the hallow halls of Devlin Manor. Part 1 of the Devlin trilogy.

Story telling at its best. Love the fact that this is a trilogy. Couple of unique puzzles.

Morty Roulette! π₯³ππ No. 1 Escapes isnβt my favorite company. I have previously played Revolution here which I disliked. However this game is definitely a step in the right direction. Some puzzles I disagree with, some extremely difficult or designed to βwaste timeβ just to fill the full hour. But some fun gameplay and transitions (and a very cool reveal!) make up for it. While not perfect, Devlin Manor is a step up (literally) from No. 1βs original games, and Iβm excited to see what they cook up next.
Mix of hard puzzle with some easier stuff

A good mix of gen 1 and gen 2 puzzles as you begin a thrilling trilogy. You can tell that the designers truly care and love escape rooms (and know how to execute a really, really cool reveal).

For a manor, the set design was pretty basic but not bad. Some of the puzzles made senses and there were some cool surprises. Dexterity puzzles are generally fun but could be hectics if you donβt commit to it; it could be a time-waster.

Definitely could use more props. Quality is there. But more would be better

Any escape room that has chapter is always interesting
There were some cool elements but some could be better executed, like how some clues are revealed for a lock
Medium
There is a dexterity puzzle that will take most of your time if you donβt commit to it. Other reviews mentioned it was a βtime-wasterβ and itβs true. Itβs a fun puzzle in general, but not with a timer.

Went into this room with low expectations, but was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the room. The story made sense and the puzzles were well placed throughout. Had a nice chat with the NEW owners after the game. They have taken a company that we had previously written off and totally revived it!
