Centuries ago, Mulberry Manor was built as a gift from Edward Mulberry to his wife and children. But behind the beautiful facade lies a gruesome and bone chilling past. In October of 1871, Edward and his children were killed in a cold-blooded massacre; their bodies torn to pieces and scattered throughout the manor. Authorities mysteriously abandoned the case, leaving Lady Mulberry alone, driven by grief to unravel the truth. Her far-fetched retellings of an evil that plagued her family were dismissed as delusions, until her sudden death one year later marking the tragic conclusion to the family fable. Every year, on the anniversary of their deaths, torturous screams echo from within as if to lure people inside. Yet those who dared to enter suffered the same short lived fate. You are the only living descendants to the Mulberry family, recently granted the estate. You have read the stories; you have heard the rumors; yet you enter with the wish to amass your fortune, hoping the rumors are just that. Standing in the very place each victim drew their final breaths, an ominous presence overwhelms you! Desperate to escape, you search for a way out but your fate has been sealed; you are trapped; and the horror stories have turned into a nightmarish reality. Legend has it that the spirits feed on their victims' souls, harnessing the strength of a mystical talisman believed to bridge the living and the dead. Time becomes your opponent as your energy drains minute by minute. In one hour, the talisman will be corrupted beyond reversal, sentencing you to an eternity of torture! Do you have what it takes to find the talisman and escape the clutches of evil? Or become the next victim in this spine chilling horror story. Time is of the essence!

This is a great room for those who like spooky but do not like gore. There are some light jump scares and an ouija board, but nothing too hard core. The puzzles were straightforward, effects were impressive, and storylines was fun. Recommended!

This room was on par with Who Stole Mona? Good theming. Creepy factor was great. Had a couple of jump scares. Bring a jacket if you get cold easily, the I-Drive location of Escapology often has very cold rooms.

You do have to be able to step up onto a step at one point. One player must be able to crawl or duck through a low ceiling at one point, the other player(s) can bypass it.

It was a great room but it really needed another 15-30 minutes to get the full experience. There was lots of small spaces so it was very hard to see clues or puzzles while others were working on it. Some audio was low and hard to hear. While the puzzles themselves werenβt overly difficult, more time was needed to orient yourselves, learn how to do the puzzles, and complete the puzzle itself. It was very linear and that detracted from a faster completion time!

The rooms were very well built. I liked the aesthetic and the idea, I just donβt understand why every horror themed room has to use a oui*a board. It makes people uncomfortable. Be original and think outside the box

Not a terrible room! Obviously itβs an Escapology room, but nothing was frustrating and everything worked well. On the easier side for sure.

Well we didnβt escape this room. Due to one puzzle that was not working properly. We had the right answer to trigger the next step. But for some reason the end was not triggering until we changed one of the right answer to a wrong one that made no sense to the puzzle then the end finally triggered and we were able to move on. That puzzle took us almost 20 minutes to solve wrongly and the game master was not be helpful at all on that puzzle.

This room was in beta testing when we experienced it so I donβt want to judge it too harshly. First, Iβll say that the theming was great. I absolutely love spooky rooms and this one was beautiful and the theming was on point. That being said, it was incredibly dark which made some clues a bit hard to find. My biggest critique though was the puzzle flow was very convoluted. We managed to escape but that was with quite a bit of hints, which we try not to take normally. It felt like there was no other choice at times as we wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what to do next. Overall, we still enjoyed ourselves, and if the kinks are worked out this could be a great room in the future.
The puzzle flow was not great. No clear or intuitive direction on what to do a lot of the times.
The set designs were great! I love the spooky aesthetic and this one was on point. All the effects worked for us and they were cool and impressive. We did have one issue where an auditory clue was way too soft. But thatβs an easy fix which I think theyβll address in the future.
Both staff and GM were very nice and helpful.

This is not the first time I have let my desire to play a new room at Escapology get the better of my common sense to wait until the new game problems have been worked out. It happened with Murder on the Orient Express and now again with Haunted House. There are many good things about this room. It has excellent theming, atmosphere and props. A good, if not entirely original backstory. I really wanted to like it. The problem is with the gameplay and puzzles. The game play is not linear which is normally fine. The problem here is that when one element is solved, there is no clear indication of what to do next so you have to ask for hints. Some of which are pretty cryptic and require further hints to understand. Most of the puzzles have 3+ tiers to solve which is also fine if there are not too many because they require a ridiculous amount of time. There are way too many. This game should probably be 30 minutes longer if you were actually going to solve all these multi-tiered puzzles without a million hints. My guess would be that some will be eliminated or simplified after all the negative feedback I've seen. I also had an issue with an auditory clue. The volume was not loud enough to hear and repeat listening just ate up more time. I believe this room has the potential to be a great game with some modifications and adjustments. Just don't pay to beta test like we did.
No clear flow. Non-linear to the point you don't know what to do next after every solve. A couple of fun solves but most games are lengthy time sinks.
Fantastic set design, special effects and props. A+ on atmosphere.
Everyone was polite but our game started late and the minute the time expired, the GM entered the room, asked if we had questions and told us to review them and let them know if we had suggestions for improvement. Clearly they are aware there are problems.

The haunted house theme is nothing new but there were a few clever features that I really liked.
Again nothing new in the haunted house story. They even have another game here called Mansion Murders.
Hard
Impossible in my opinion until the puzzle situation is modified. 60 minutes isn't enough time for everything they would like you to do. I've seen a few other reviews that say the same thing.
High tech
Lots of high tech features and everything worked perfectly for us.

There is one smallish space and you need to duck into another room.
There is one step, a low doorway to duck through and if you have any hearing impairment you will definitely not be able to hear the auditory clue.

All I can say I feel this room needs to be a smidge longer with the time given. There were some red herrings and some small kinks that needed to be worked out.
