This one is really different than anything I’ve ever done. You can’t ask for clues but the actor will give you them if you’re struggling but also very very very hard room to escape from. Definitely want some experience before taking this one on.

At the end of this room our game master ushered us out and tried to be so encouraging - "wow you guys were so close!" and we all just looked at each other and said "we were?" That's the problem with this room. Illogical puzzles. Zero signposting. None. Doors would just unlock after a certain amount of time. The room was ridiculously dark for no reason. We'd just stand around trying the same solution a handful of times with no luck and the suddenly the door was open. So many red herrings. When we asked what we were supposed to do the employees were just like "ah, you're gonna have to come back and try it again ;)". Um. Hell no. I don't think we would get any further the second time. Actor was great - atmosphere was spooky - but dang: wouldn't recommend.
No. Flow was non-existent. No momentum whatsoever.
The one thing they did well.
Staff was welcoming, but there was NO GM. NO HINTS. NO DIRECTION.

Something about a little girl getting involved with the devil in an abusive home? Not very clear.

Expert feels like the wrong way to explain the puzzles. More like, dumb luck.
No tech or mechanics.

Don't go.
Spooky
Actor in the room, but at most they kinda just stand menacingly for bits of time. Never active scaring (if I remember correctly).

This guy did a great job. Even made me a bloody card for my birthday. He was the best part.

If you're looking for an immersive haunt that will scare the daylights out of you, this will deliver. One girl in our group had to leave early. If you're looking for an escape room, steer well clear. Completely illogical puzzles with zero signposting, and no hints given when you get stuck. Things just seem to "happen" after enough time has passed, and it's neither rewarding nor fulfilling not having a clue what's going on for ten to fifteen minutes at a time.

No hints given with some puzzles that either were very poorly signposted or had no logical way to figure them out.

Set: Some good parts marred by being too dark overall. Puzzles: We were often not sure how we solved puzzles. A lot of the difficulty was the low light. Clues were give over the intercom but I could rarely understand them. Enthusiast: There was nothing here to attract an enthusiast. Me: I disliked this room a lot, which was a surprise given how much I liked the other rooms I've done at Alcatraz.

Cool set but crap puzzles. This is a cash grab room. Puzzles are not logical. Tear this room down.

I didn’t escape but the room theme was great and the game master was friendly.

Much less of an escape room and more of a horror experience. Failure rate approaching 100% for first time players. No hints given normally. Not my idea of a great time but If you don’t mind failing and like to be scared this might be for you.
