Sealed off in 1989, the old Valencia Station at the end of the Orange line was plagued by ghosts before the Ghost Exterminators trapped them all in containment units. Now, they can’t leave, haunting visitors of the abandoned station from their host items in the hopes of escape. After a brief ride in our private train car, our guides will escort you down to the subway tunnels. There, it will be your turn to try your hand at gathering all of Valencia’s specters into a ghost box left behind by the Ghost Exterminators and releasing them from the station once and for all. You’ll receive help along the way from the ghosts themselves, especially the mysterious Station Master and his loyal pup, Cujo, but ultimately, it’ll be up to you to free them… Are you up to the challenge?

This room amazingly refurbished. It took an idea and worked really well. It showed that if you have a room idea and a good base it can take on multiple ideas and not feel old.

It flowed well. It was a great way to repurpose a room but still make it feel new.

The set design always makes you feel like you are walking onto a stage.

Our GM Dani was amazing. She remembered us from the other rooms we did at this location. It made us feel special.

This was a novel theme for us. We never do scary rooms, so I was a little nervous about the ghost theme. But not to worry! If you are a scaredy-cat, like me, this room is fine. It is fine for kids too. This was my 43rd room (38W - 5L) so I still consider myself a novice. I played with two other adults with similar stats and we escaped with one hint and 10:13 remaining. I think the room is medium difficulty, mostly linear, and a nice mix of tech and mechanical. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic about the story. Everything was in great shape and very in theme. As a small side note, if you have time before or between rooms, you should attempt the quests in the lobby.

The subway theme was novel for us. The concept was fun and the story flowed very well.
Atmosphere
The set design was authentic NYC subway, right down to the graffiti. Intrepid put a lot of effort into decorating this room.

The staff were very welcoming, friendly, enthusiastic about the story, and patient.

I liked the subway theme! There was one puzzle which I haven't encountered before which I thought was very clever.
Story
Hunting ghosts in the NYC subway tunnels is a fun idea. Tbh, I don't usually listen to the plot lines, but my teammates do, and they liked the story.

In my semi-limited experience (42 games), this was challenging, but probably on the medium side of difficulty. We usually don't like to receive hints, but we needed one this time and finished with 10:13 remaining.

This is the benchmark of escape rooms. Rooms were not only beautiful, they were SO much fun to play. Char our game master treated us like friends, could not have been happier with our experience. She made the rooms even better, so much in fact we played another right away just to keep the fun going. Thank you Intrepid for the amazing time.

Innovative take on ghost hunting and fun high-tech tricks. The room itself was very task oriented but had a fun almost parody-like take on each puzzle. Great for kids and anyone who wants a laugh! This room had me smiling all the way through.

Vamonos Ghost! 👻 Haunted Terminal was fun! A lighthearted spooky adventure. ☺️ Doesn’t take itself too seriously, and some neat story beats make it a worthwhile experience. Puzzles were more mental than physical, and on the easier side. Definitely an improvement on the original, and a nice addition to the Intrepid arsenal. Have fun!

I really enjoyed this escape room! We had a strong team and our Game Master was very theatrical. The puzzles were easy to solve, but also very creative. We had some great laughs together trying to solve the puzzles lol. I enjoyed the set design and the storyline as well.

I can’t speak to how the original non-holiday Terminal is like but the haunted version of this room was a lot of fun. I enjoyed the Ghostbusters feel and our game master, Jordan, was helpful. The puzzles were on the easier side and it was spooky but not scary at all. I did this room with a group of four and I think this is a good number. For more experienced groups, the guided experience is not as necessary. That would be my only feedback. Other than that, I can’t wait to try the Stolen Relic room when we come back next time. Beautiful production and I wish the team here the best!
